Of course making a payment to an agent to obtain a requirements waiver to get a retirement extension is illegal.
If it were legal, you wouldn't need an agent.
Zoom and MS Teams are the cheaper answer. More video calls, less traveling. I remember seeing a fantastic teleconferencing system in Singapore where the guys in Hong Kong looked like they were in the room across the table.
Well the last time I switched US passports I was asked for the old one at Thai immigration. I believe it was because my new passport was clean except for a Extension of stay in Cambodia, and showed no ins and outs.
Whatever, they took both passports, typed for a while, stamped my new one in and gave them back.
It costs nothing to carry the old one one more time.
The current government is failing Thailand on all fronts. It's ethical reputation abroad is poor, to say the least, while it's focus on China for trade is helping only a few Thaksin insiders.
