Featured Replies

After the visa is granted and the passport to be collected later at Jomtien Immigration, Does it have to be collected in person, or can a person with ID and collection number collect it?

Should be fine.

Suggest that you write a  note and include agent ID etc along with something of yours such as eg TDL

Thanks.

Sounds very much like life being made difficult, just for the hell of it?

Difficult for whom? The applicant for having to make another journey for a document that has been thoroughly checked and just needs a stamp? Or for the Immigration officers?  Years ago, I could apply in the morning and collect my passport in the afternoon. Now at ninety-one, I could do without the extra journey.

Living in the sticks sometimes has advantages

I think my record for one year extension is about 20 min all completed.

I sympathies. It now takes longer to drive to the immigration office, since they moved, than it does to check the paperwork and have the passport stamped. 15 minutes tops from being called to the desk, everything checked and passport being handed back. I leave and then don't bother for another year.
