For those of us that have already cut out rice and drink lots of water, consider psyllium husk or ground flax seed. I also make my own yogurt. Buy the l.reuteri tabs from lazada and make it for the cost of milk. Also kefir, saurkraut, spicy food as others mentioned. Better than laxatives or suppositories.

It's Really Simple......Get a Bottle of Milk of Magnesia from ANY Pharmacy,Have a Good Swig of that but You MUST Stay very close to a Toilet,Takes about 2 / 3 Hours to " Clean You Out "

Lots of contradictory ideas flouted here but no majority agreement on anything. I eat salad 5 out of seven evenings with plates of fresh fruit. One issue is, as a diabetic I can't eat just any fruits. I have a tea She Who Must Be Obeyed provides that works but sometimes make me go 3 times before empty. Risky to be driving to work in rush hour when the urge comes over me a third time.

Only once for me on vacation in Singapore.

Daughter told me that at her clinic the majority of all issues reported were patients  dealing with constipation.

Kept drinkging expresso's and stay hydrated.

Some useful suggestions given above, the following may duplicate or complement:

Exercise (those aging or in sedentary occupations often don't get enough).  Walking, cycling, swimming.
Standing on a "vibrating plate" can also help, especially in the rainy season.

Salty soup seems to help hydration of the colon.  Lack of hydration of the colon can be caused by excessive tea or coffee consumption due to diuretic effect, as well as lack of fluid intake.

Natural fruits and vegetables for soluble fibre.  Also in oats.  While insoluble fibre in some whole grains can help, it can damage the intestinal lining which is one cell thick.

Avoid industrialised, highly processed foods, which contain chemicals to inhibit bacteria and fungi: damage the gut microbiome.

Restore gut microbiome preferably with live (not pasteurised) fermented foods.  Failing that, with high-count, very expensive probiotics.  Not the stuff peddled in pharmacies.

Avoid milk from North European breeds, the norm for dairy cattle, as it contains indigestible casein type A1.  All other milk and milk products alright, including from Guernseys (but not Jerseys), nanny-goats, ewes, mares, buffaloes, humans, etc.  Hard cows' cheeses seem particularly constipating.

'Fitné' herbal tea sachets from Thai supermarkets.

Indian curries.

For occasional use, take 'Colosan', a mixture of magnesium oxides (non-assimilable, so useless for Mg deficiency).  Gave some to a Burmese doctor friend and it cured him of inguinal hernia in several days.

Cure anxiety.

Use a traditional Thai squat loo, not the western type promoted by Thomas Crapper & Son.  Abdominal muscles help to expel turds [faeces].

Thanks for that info and I have just ordered some and will give them a try.

I have tried just about everything mentioned on this thread apart from standing on a vibrating plate and I have to abide by what I was told many years ago at the BUPA hospital in London – – that I have a slow digestive system, and it seems to be the long and short of it.

No amount of fibre, psyllium husk, or any other fibrous foods seem to make much of a difference and the only thing that does is if I combine prune juice and sorbitol liquid, but as I mentioned before it's a pretty vicious method of clearing one out.

Many nights of the week I will have half a head of raw broccoli, accompanied by tomatoes and olive oil as a side salad for my dinner, and I thought the broccoli would help, especially being raw, but no it doesn't. I've also tried dates and prunes and once drank half a bottle of Milk Of Magnesia out of desperation, but to no avail.

So the Wild Dose capsules as mentioned by @3NUMBAS will be my last try and after that..........................?

PS. I've also tried the bum gun method with a little success on occasion.
