Featured Replies

I'm late this year looking at the songs.

The Sweden song is fantastic. How can it lose?

No interest in Eurovision here? Weird.

  • A festival for queers and dxyz*+&, supporting Palestine. It's like pigs supporting butchers, because all this people would not survive long in that country. Not because of the Israely Army, becaus

OK, that happened.

Sweden of course went through.

Iceland's song sung in Icelandic was fun.

However there is a plagiarism accusation of a popular Israeli wedding song.

Semifinal 2 two days from now.

Appreciating Sweden's Kaj. This not a Eurovision song.

Again I'm finding it hard to imagine how Sweden doesn't win this.

Weird.

A festival for queers and dxyz*+&, supporting Palestine. It's like pigs supporting butchers, because all this people would not survive long in that country. Not because of the Israely Army, because they are not well regarded there (to put it nicely).

When the candidates have been paraded outside in old Trams, all you could see was palestine flags and towels. Candidate from Israel got shown sign of slit througt, her Tram got blocked by some braindead activist.

It would be weird if people would support this event. Of course a special kind of clientele does that. It looks like not too many of them on this board.

Weird.

Eurovision lacks diversity.   Too white.

Not really interested in helping derail this fun topic your way.

That said, I would be shocked if Israel's entry makes it to the finals this time.

Not because of politics. Because it doesn't rate.

Well it's Eurocentric, innit?

Netherlands has a good entry.

Finland is getting a lot more buzz than Denmark.

Oh dear!!! Still I guess it's better than the daily anti-Trump threads. Wait! Did I miss today's anti-Trump thread?

How can even Eurovision haters not love this?

Yup, admitting the East Europeans has really raised the standard of Eurovision. Even the Fins are now fielding Sado Maso Prostitutes.

Pattaya should field an entry.

Weird.

I suppose that they have their own homegrown "bands" who dress up in tinfoil suits and prance about shouting!

I predict that, as is now standard, it will be won by a bearded lady in a tutu!

That was a one off.

I don't suppose it was much fun for the Israeli entrants, being greeted with throat splitting gestures.

Didn't that same gesture used be made to the occupants of the cattle trucks as they rolled through Germany in the 1940s? Still just a bit of fun eh?

I agree that the Israeli entry won't make it, not because of any talent or it's absence, but because of the threat of disruption. Also of course, it appears that the contest is sponsored by "Morrocanoil" - that won't exactly help!

Love weird Al. UHF. Great movie and definitely weird and definitely Weird Al. Great stuff. As for Weird Al's songs I love 'em and miles above today's trash. Very talented man. Mind you the 1974 winners are still one of my favourites.

Kaj are actually Swedish speaking Finns.

So we could be looking at a stealth Finn Winn.
