Trumps policies make inflation the lowest since 2021

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

New reports are showing that the US has not suffered a negative reaction to Trumps policies and tariffs. Quite the contrary, Currently, the inflation rate has hit the lowest score since 2021.

This must seriously undermine anything negative the Dems and Trump haters use when trying to find negatives in everything Trump does.

A serious win for Trump if he can keep this rate down.

The annual inflation rate in the US eased to 2.3% in April 2025, the lowest since February 2021, from 2.4% in March and below forecasts of 2.4%.

You are posting infactual material to be the naysayer. Whereas, I am posting factual material as shown. Guessing the inflation will increase is just that.. a guess. When it increases as you suggest then you should post about it. Rather than making stuff up just to be a naysayer.

So here's another NY Times May 13 headline:

- (Fed Chairman) Powell Emerges as a Potential Winner from the Trade Truce
- The markets have come around to the Federal Reserve chairman’s cautious approach to lowering interest rates. President Trump could be a tougher convert.

“Gasoline prices dipped 0.1%, the third straight monthly decline, and are down 11.8% over the past year. Regular unleaded averaged $3.14 a gallon on May 12, down from $3.20 a month ago, according to AAA”.

This is what matters above all else, to many Americans.

i disagree. People complained more about the egg prices. But, those have dropped even more than gas to almost 13% drop in price.  Some speculate it should be 50% less but the sellers are keeping it higher to get more profit.

Current inflation is low because companies stocked up on goods in advance of tariffs. This stock pile didn't carry tariffs so therefore weren't any more expensive. This stock pile however is running low and the new replenished stocks will be sold with tariffs on top. The increase in price for goods will then be calculated by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which is a key measure of inflation and tracks the price changes of a "market basket" of goods and services purchased by consumers. This basket includes a wide range of items, including food, shelter, clothing, transportation, medical care, and recreation, among others. If these prices go up, then inflation goes up. Quoting inflation rate now is the equivalent of listening to the proverbial canary in the coal mine when it's back in the aviary, 4 miles from the mine.

Come back in 2 months and tell us how things are then.

So this "tax on Americans" the forum Trump haters assured us was fact, was actually fantasy borne from irrational fear combined with swallowing fake news narratives? Again?!😅 Will they ever learn?

Wait!

Isn't that supposed to be the "Biden Overhang"?

If not, does that mean we've passed the point where we can blame Biden (or whoever was actually running the regime!) when inflation zooms up next month?

You are seriously mistaken. I, unlike you are not affiliated nor like or dislike any party. I only posted fact. You wish to choose to make it into something more and rely on your hate for Trump. That is your choice. If you do not like what you see and say to wait. Then return in a couple months and show everyone how Trump has destroyed the economy and increased inflation. Otherwise you are only speculating based on your hatred of Trump succeeding in anything.

The number appears to show that inflation increased during Bidens term substantially. And is now decreasing under Trump. Being it has been many months since Trump took office this can not be from anything Biden did.

Seriously? This is from CNN. Trump haters. Yet you want to twist it into something else just to say Trump is not doing a good job?

Inflation is something democrats have never nor will ever understand. They see prices of everything go up these last four years and assume theres nothing they can do to protect themselves

That's not how this works.

Inflation that occurred between the election and regime-change was caused by the anticipation of Trump's flawed policies, what we would term the "Trump Undercut."

President Donald Trump said the US economy is a mixture of his enacted policies and the effects of the Biden administration in a wide-ranging interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press with Kristen Welker.”

“I think the good parts are the ‘Trump economy’ and the bad parts are the ‘Biden economy’ because he’s done a terrible job,” Trump said in the interview that aired Sunday.

But you are talking about 3 months whereas I compared with 4 years. Your point is mute at best

Ford, John Deere and Amazon are pulling out. I guess they don't understand MAGAnomics either, Can someone send them the alternative facts again?

Thanks to decisions made last year by Saudi Arabia and OPEC to increase their production.

Meanwhile, U.S. crude oil production is lower than it was at the end of 2024! 🙂

And yours is moot.

I see he didn't name Obama as the cause. Unusual.

Current inflation rate is the calm before the storm...

The latest US inflation data shows a glimpse of what might have been: an inflation rate falling steadily towards the Federal Reserve Board’s target, lower interest rates and a growing economy.

Alas, the data doesn’t capture the impact of Donald Trump’s global trade war, which probably won’t start to surface until next month or be fully reflected until well into the second half of the year.
