How to tell if you're dealing with a MAGA folk?

Featured Replies

  • The Immediate Pivot: You ask about the weather, and within three sentences, they've seamlessly transitioned to how the deep state is controlling the rain.
  • The "Research": They refer to "my own research" but it consists entirely of YouTube videos watched at 3 AM and forwarded Facebook memes.
  • The Loudspeaker Voice: They speak exclusively in a booming, declarative tone, even when ordering a coffee. Everything is a rally speech. They don't listen but constantly interrupt quite loudly.
  • The "Fake News" Reflex: Any information that doesn't align with their worldview is immediately dismissed as "fake news," even if it's the nutritional information on a cereal box.
  • The "Back in My Day...": Every story starts with a lament about how things used to be better before [insert perceived societal decline].
  • The "Woke" Obsession: They use the word "woke" as a derogatory adjective for anything they don't like, from coffee flavors to the color blue.
  • The "Storm is Coming" Prophecy: They frequently allude to an impending, vague, but ultimately glorious "storm" that will set everything right.
  • The Unsolicited Political Advice: You're just trying to buy groceries, and suddenly you're getting a detailed explanation of their plan to fix the economy, starting with bringing back manufacturing jobs to their grandmother's backyard.
  • The conversation gets personal quickly:  You're having a seemingly polite conversation but it takes a quick turn to the extreme with personal insults ending with "You libtards are all alike".
  • At a Doctor's Office: They try to convince the doctor that vaccines are a government mind-control plot.

You can spot a MAGA a mile away. They deal in facts and are able to think for themselves. Unlike msm hoax swallowing and nonsensical propaganda pushing laptop denying "democrats".

You can tell you're dealing with some MAGA as when you post a headline from the NY Times saying: Trump-Kushner Hotel Project in Serbia Hits a Snag: Alleged Forgery they say: Oh yeah --well what

They're always playing the victim card.

Trump is always a victim.  Nothing is ever Trump's fault - it's always someone else's - even when patently obvious otherwise.

It's like interacting with brain damaged toddlers who've accidentally consumed three liters of tequila.

Another nutty response.

Trump isn’t a victim.  The opposite

Trump is successful, confident, aggressive, intelligent, compassionate and a great negotiator

A New York street fighter!

Alpha Male.

A threat started and for Beta Males.

"Trump was a victim of kangaroo courts."

  "Trump isn't a victim."

Flip, flop.  Just like Trump, lol.

What I was going to say is that anything that doesn't fit in the narrative that far right websites feed them is immediately dismissed as "MSM FAKE NEWS"!

Hilariously, the very first answer from @SunnyinBangrak immediately did that.

Alternative facts maybe.

If you start a topic with the NY Times or Washington Post, that's left wing propaganda.

But if the topic is started with NY Post or Fox News, it gets this:

You can spot a MAGA a mile away. Usually obese, and their choice of body deodorant announces their presence from afar.

I think the late, great Charles Krauthammer put it best;

“To understand the workings of American politics, you have to understand this fundamental law: Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil.”

555555555555555555!!! I was going to reply to the OP, saying something about the MAGAs bringing up "The Laptop" in every conversation, but then I saw SunnyinBangrak had replied, and even before reading his post I just KNEW he'd make the point for me!

Thanks, buddy, for being so mindbogglingly obsessive and predictable.

Have you ever looked at the crowd at a Trump rally? They all look like they have the IQ of a turnip.

The was before the MAGA movement took over the GOP. Now I think it's vice versa.

He also said "Loyalty to the President is great, but loyalty to truth, integrity, and country is even better", which is the complete opposite of what Trump is trying to achieve.

I dunno.... I still see the left as being more paranoid and judgmental. The ones who try to cancel and silence their opponents. Not just as far as MAGA but in general. Witness the efforts in France and Germany by governments to officially silence their political opponents.

"Trump is Hitler" is far more common than "Biden is Stalin".

Left leaning folks are more likely to end relationships/friendships over politics than those on the right.

I have simular experiences, and they automatically believe you agree to everything they say.

I come from international company, where we do not discuss politics, religion or sexual orientation, and when Im out and travelling those things are the last thing Im interested in for a discussion with people I just met.

Here's a pic of some "MAGA" fans.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-madison-square-garden-rally-photos-b2636532.html

I can't see the connection to having the IQ of a turnip, but perhaps it takes one to know one.

Maybe a better example would be: if they are not protesting at universities or elsewhere, (you know like yelling "from the river to the sea" or wearing a keffyieh), then perhaps we can be fairly certain that "they are MAGA folk."

I dono they seem to be keeping a low profile lately I haven’t spotted a maggot hat in days none at Costco yesterday none on the morning walks……perhaps the light bulb is finally lighting up.im going to Walmart today I’ll let you know if I see any.seems they are a bit chagrinned lately lol 😂

I think it hilarious that the left is so lost all they can do is make up stuff about the half of the country that supports Trump and is happy about what he is doing.

The left lies about everything and then pretends the people that call them on it are obsessed

That’s mighty leftist of you.

I’ll add my own.

Being the Alpha fighting man he is Trump is a survivor of the infamous Kangaroo Courts.

Biden and Harris would of had a nervous breakdown after day 2.

There, fixed it for you.

Nope.  Quoted you directly using the "quote" function of this website.

Trump is fat, loud, obnoxious, shrill, and incompetent.

He's Hillary Clinton with a smaller penis.

To be fair he probably is not on top form - he failed to link anything to Hunter Bidens laptop!
