Banged loads over the past 20 years, no condoms, caught nothing.

Why would you even consider HPV vaccine, a disease that has no serious consequences for men and only effective for 3 out of 20 HPV strains?

This is a good reason to protect others against you. Others who do not know better. What is your excuse?

My excuse is, I have an immune system that seems to work pretty well, so why risk it?

Gardasil 9, means 9 strains. ChatGPT tells me this vaccines protects against "HPV 6 and 11, which are responsible for approximately 90% of genital warts". Genital warts = awful disease. My brother went twice on the operating theater (general anesthesia) in order to have warts lasered off from the urethra.

Note that not catching anything doesn't mean, alas, not passing on anything. Many STDs are symptomatic in some people.

Are you trolling? Or are you serious? If you are serious, you are one sad person.  Do you know sex causes pregnancy? And unprotected sex transits disease?

Wow, it constantly amazes me how unthinking some of the punters are out there. Un ferkin' believable. How many girls have you knocked up? Or are you shootin' blanks?

How often do you test yourself for HIV?

You know unprotected sex is not inconsequential.

There are laws about knowingly spreading serious diseases. Guys who are knowingly infected can be prosecuted for spreading disease in most civilized countries.

Your lack of knowledge is astounding, almost as astounding as your stupidity about having unprotected sex, and for your information, HPV in men can result in throat cancer (remember Michael Douglas and what he said about HPV).

I think that's from sucking other mens infected parts.

So not a danger for me, although you may be at risk.

No. I'll leave that to you as you're so good at it.

But I love reproducing and am happy for as many DNA tested kids as I can manage.

You are right, the vaccine for HPV is not very effective. HPV is not harmless. When I was diagnosed with cancer the pathologists report showed it was chocker block full of HPV. HPV was of course the cause of the cancer.

Take deoxycycline a day a few days around when you're having sex .prevents  most  STIs .   Also prep if HIV negative. Be vaccinated for hepB.

As you get older you don't get warts it's only when you're younger. Surely at 60 must be getting penal pause.

I do PreP/PeP etc. when I go bareback but that still leaves out 70% of gonnhorea strains, among other things.

From what I've read the lower prevalence of genital warts in older people is due to the latter having on average less sex, not to their being less susceptible.

There's potential anal, penal and throat cancers, that's the main reason to get HPV vaccine

Since we have a disciple of RFK Jr. on this forum who fights a losing battle against vaccines, I thought I'd do the opposite. Today I got two off-label vaccine shots at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

Brexsero is a vaccine against meningitis B that gives you a 40% protection against that ruiner of the Pattaya lifestyle: gonorrhea. Two shots 6 months apart in Thailand, though the US recommendation for gonorrhea is three shots.

Gardasil is a vaccine against HPV routinely administered to young women. It give good protection against genital warts. Two shots 3 months apart.

Both take a bit of convincing on you part especially if you are above 60. I hate this "not recommended for over 45" charade. It only means big pharma were too lazy to test their stuff on the elderly. There's also more money to be made out of the young since they're likely to be still around when boosters are needed.

I've been looking into the Brexsero as UK is starting to introduce the 4CMenB vaccine, I binned the idea when I read it only protects you up to 40% and only for a couple of years, so that's 10k-15k for 2 years

Does the UK recommend 3 injections? Here in TH they only want to give you 2 as per WHO for meningitis, but in the US they give 3 jabs for gonnorhea. Only good for a couple of years? I see "up to 3 years" in some sources. Not very long. Boosters may change that. The trick is, how to get more than 2 jabs in TH. I guess by going to another hospital after you've had 2 already at a first hospital. At Mahidol they advertise it at 3100 Baht per jab. 5100 Baht at BHP.

Or another thing to be added on the long list of conspiracies?

What conspiracies? Gardasil against HPV has long been recommended for young people, especially females as HPV can cause cervical cancer.

So many people also have immune systems but they get sick, feel pain, then die. After infecting dozens of people. That's a possible reason.

Presumably you do DoxyPEP?

Yes, plus Truvada.

Note that the reason why the UK has no recommendation on Brexsero boosters maybe simply be because this use is new and there is not enough time-line data. But if protection wanes after 2 or 3 years chances are boosters will be the way to go, within reason of course, unless we want this vaccines to become like the flu vaccine that gets injected on and on.

If I was in the UK I'd get it for free just not worth it here, 10k for two years. I've had gonorrhea once in two years. Ceftriaxione is 800 baht for 500mg

Here is an article from India Today.

https://www.indiatoday.in/health/story/cervical-cancer-awareness-month-almost-all-sexually-active-people-are-infected-by-hpv-know-about-the-virus-2490739-2024-01-19

WHO claims that almost all sexually active people are infected by HPV.

And HPV may or may not cause cervical cancer.

This sounds like the biggest fear-mongering bogeyman scare the crap out of people make believe nonsense I ever heard.

Sorry, I don't have scientific data to back up my claims. Go ahead and fear HPV and take all precautionary measures.

But seems ridiculous to insinuate that everyone who is sexually active is at risk of cancer. In fact, regular sexual activity prolongs lifespan. Just need to worry about IMMEDIATE threats like gonorrhea, etc ...
