Public shower available in Pattaya ?

Featured Replies

Are there any public shower in Pattaya? Even if have to pay something is ok. Thank you.

Along Jomtien and Dongtan beaches there are plenty of shops across the road that offer you a shower for 15 or 20 Baht. Pattaya beach may have the same thing but I seldom go there these days.

I'm told on Soi6 you could get any type of shower you want.

I could be wrong of course, old mate down the pub was telling me

I expect Golden Showers are probably more expensive... and you don't get clean.  You're dirty very dirty...

I think the toilets adjacent to the "Big Tree", along near the holiday Inn, may have a shower.  They are old style and it used to be quite common.

The other one worth a try is the toilets under beach road at the rear of Central, many years since i used that one so can't remember.

With modernisation, the old beach facilities seem to have disappeared.

There are still a few on the beach road. The coconut ghosts use them, in the main. Another one on Pattaya Klang, near the corner of the beach road. Though I'm not 100% sure that one has showers. 20 baht is the going rate. 10 baht for toilet usage.

Owned by a cop that one.

Why does anyone need public showers? Do you sleep on the beach?

If you have been at the beach all day and are covered in dried out sea salt, sun block lotion,  sand and sweat,  it is nice to rinse off before  going home or to an onward event. Some people  are heavy duty exercisers and wish to  rinse off before  taking the songthaw or a mototaxi or Grab, or eating or shopping.

When we use the Pines recreation facility, my friends and I  sometimes use the  wash area to wash off some of the goop collected during the day. It can be  a 20-30  minute drive  home depending on traffic and it's uncomfortable sitting in sand infused shorts. Jelly fish are bad here too and it is important to rinse off in jelly fish season.

The beer bars on beach road near Soi 8 have a 15 baht shower, I didn't partake but I noticed the sign for it a few days ago.
