Video Tourist Flees Angry Thai Men After Violating Krabi Park Rules

A foreign tourist in Krabi found himself in hot water after a viral video captured him fleeing from a group of irate Thai men. The chaos erupted when the tourist ignored rules at Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park during a visit in April, which has recently gained traction online.

 

The park’s Facebook page addressed the incident, noting that the tourist had entered the waters of Maya Bay, closed to visitors at the time. When park rangers warned him to leave, he reportedly turned aggressive, insulting both the officials and local boat operators.

 

Escalating tensions, the tourist also cut in line for a boat trip, shouting to other tourists, "Who’s first?" while raising his middle finger in defiance at the rangers. His actions provoked a physical confrontation with boat operators, compelling him to escape their wrath.

 

Captured in a TikTok video by user @98jeffers, the man is seen sprinting to avoid being kicked and punched, with witnesses alleging he was under the influence of alcohol. The park confirmed that he faced charges under the National Park Act for non-compliance and ignoring official orders. The act stipulates a possible fine of up to 100,000 baht, though the fine he paid wasn't disclosed.

 

After the incident, the tourist was taken from the scene and escorted back to his accommodation on Phi Phi Island. This case follows another recent infraction involving a foreign visitor feeding monkeys at Monkey Bay, an act clearly prohibited by the park.

 

These incidents underscore the enforcement challenges park officials face in ensuring compliance with regulations meant to protect natural sites, as well as the cultural respect expected from international visitors.

Yaba and weed are two completely different things! Unlike yaba which is a methamphetamine, weed has a tendency to sedate the user.

This was fuelled by alcohol, another completely different drug!

An you seem to be very well versed in what you talk about. First it´s yaba fueled violence from both sides? After you talk about weed. There is a big different of substances there. One is meth, and the other is cannabis. In other words, one a synthetical chemical that is man-made and the other a natural substance. I hope you understand that they have different effect on people.

It's was only 3 years ago and the Thais at these tourist hubs were sleeping on the pavements on flattened cardboard boxes and lining up to get a free box of rice and a bottle of water, and they were moaning away...Oh when will the tourists return. Now they're punching tourists in the face and stomping on their heads.
