  • It was kown from the beginning that she was unfit for this job.. But the deal was made so that THaksin could rule and use his power through her

  • It's taken them this long to realise that    🤣

  • What reign. It's all Thaksin.

Regardless of what I think of him, as a political player, Anutin is more PM material then the current Shin proxy.

Anutin will be exposed by the upcoming DSI investigation into senate money laundering scheme. The DSI has a lot of incriminating evidence that Anutin was directly involved in this scheme. I would not be surprised if Anutin is removed from his position of Minister of the Interior.

"It was kown from the beginning that she was unfit for this job".

And she has achieved nothing and more and more Thais are realizing she will never be capable / suitable for this role.

Also in the maze there's no other shin clan member who could take the role and the last thing they need is for the shin only son to be thrust into the role. He has baggage, he's not that bright and he's not a leader.

At this point the PM must be quite upset that she's been well and truly used by her scaly father. Plus she has the dilemma of 'how do I get out of this mess'.

THAILAND – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra faces formidable criticism from high-ranking power brokers dissatisfied with her leadership. Dubbed a mere "puppet" of her influential father, Thaksin Shinawatra, Paetongtarn’s tenure is now under siege, as academic Pornchai Theppanya voices concerns over her unfitness to govern

Well he's got that right... a puppet for Thaksin.

No, it's taken them this long to admit it...

The only recent set of politicians who would make a good PM have all been banned from politics for a decade.

The only recent political parties which have had significant popular support and were not in politics for "feeding time" at the trough have also been banned.

Too many recent (last decade or so) Thai politicians would change political parties at the drop of a hat if it meant they would get more "benefits"; others would sell their souls (or even families) in order to remain in power.

Too many ministerial level politicians have zero or next to zero expertise in the Ministries they have control over - why?  Maintain the status quo; change will be too disruptive for the powerful "business" families.

Well what did they expect off this dummy. She’s as thick as a whale omelette

Taskin is supposedly banned from Thai politics? Does anyone think that his daughter does anything without being directed by her father? And, how about his illness upon his return from exile in a luxury suite in the Thai police hospital. To think that Taskin is not the de facto PM of Thailand is naive and amusing.

But, Thai politics has always been amusing. No wonder people are flocking to other Southeast Asian destinations and many long tern farang expats leaving.

Anutin himself is a proxy for Newin

Having witnessed a few coups here, I am most certainly getting a whiff of another impending one. The Shinawatras never learn, always taking the mickey with outragrous over-steps.

Shame to see them behaving like before, I was generally supportive of them after the shtshw the last junta turned out to be. I saw absolutely no reduction in corruption instead had to pay more to get anything official done.

Agreed - and he is as shallow as a river bed in summer. I know it probably applies to a lot of politicians, but Anutin is more of a businessman, and it's all about "me,me,me" with his agendas. He has made quite a few gaffes in the past, and the thought of A Nut In charge of the country makes me shudder, as his thoughts on "dirty unwashed farangs" are common knowledge, and he would be trying to make life even more awkward for ex pats.

Absolutely correct, from his track record not PM material!!

The man who had growers before actual legalization, and legalized dope for medical use would be better than Thaksin ? I dont think so.

since i dont have a vote anyway , despite paying taxes - it's good to know it wouldn't make any difference anyway - if the elite are deciding everything. Best to name them -so the threat of interference on free and fair elections is adequately covered otherwise we will be stuck in this quagmire for decades..

I have to say she really nailed 'go to a market and stare at food'  and her 'looking miserable.' was amazing work.

Now how about that school bus that exploded and killed an entire year group?  Anything to say about using 11 highly explosive gas cylinders in a school bus and 4 locked doors?

That was very sad, but not her fault

However the status quo still prevails and nothing much ever gets done
