Why are you defensively asking these questions? Is this story about your 15 minutes of fame?

And why are you posting information that is not correct, unless you personally know the teacher concerned.

Don't you like being asked for the truth? If you have no idea why do you bother to post, or are you looking for your 15 minutes of fame ?

I am sure he is a teetotaler, and had not touched a drink in the entertainment centre,

and had the bottles of alcohol in his car , for his mate back home 🤪

4 a.m.  Probably screaming, demanding to let go, forget about this accident, take 20 baht and leave me alone, probably screamed for hours and hours..... typical fake "teachers".......yes, another role model at a prestigious school that cannot be named.

These are the "teachers" to help the future of Thailand.   Thai teachers with the same experience actually get paid more, but can take loans out from a bank to the tune of millions.

If I had a satang for every farang "teacher" I saw drinking and talking about drinking.........I'd be Elon Musk rich.

Most teachers teach ADULTS English.  I did it for a year in Bangkok in 1990 before going to Kuwait on a military contract. Why assume he teaches children?

How many of those do you know driving near new Toyotas?

Teaching at an exclusive private school, which is why we didn't get the name of it?

Because most English teachers here teach students. The amount of adults wanting to learn English here is far lower than children. There are only a few adults that come to my friend's school, the large majority are students that aren't being taught English well in their schools.

Did you read the article?

"Officers inspecting the vehicle discovered two bottles of liquor beside the driver’s seat."

Not many people drive around indiscriminately with two bottles of booze next to their seat.

And I used to work at a school where there were a large number of foreign teachers who taught primary, and would be chewing breath mints and pouring Visine in their eyes during morning assembly to cover up the hangover.

Metal treatment for the post and mental treatment for him?

Probably both

Well he can't really blame it on classroom aggression in Thailand can he.

Some really great assumptions and exagerations in there, I wonder if you sit around all day looking for things to condem

If he was over the alcohol limit, calling his insurance company was a waste of time, they will ask him to go to a hospital and take an alcohol test and deny his claim if he was over the limit.

This is standard practice now in Thai.

Guilty of something it seems.

In the early hours of 5 July, at approximately 03:50, police and emergency services responded to a traffic crash at an intersection on Phetkasem Road in the Khao Chiak subdistrict, Mueang District, Phatthalung Province.

A black Toyota Yaris had collided head-on with a directional road sign. The front of the car was damaged and left stationary in the road, raising immediate concerns for the driver’s safety.

Upon arrival, rescuers found that the driver was a foreign national employed as a teacher at a well-known school in Phatthalung. He had reportedly been returning from a night out at an entertainment venue. Although he sustained only minor injuries and appeared visibly shaken, he became agitated with rescue workers attempting to assist him.

In a bizarre outburst, the man questioned the presence of the rescue team, insisting that he had already contacted his insurance provider and did not require further assistance. Friends, also foreign nationals, were seen trying to calm him down at the scene.

Officers inspecting the vehicle discovered two bottles of liquor beside the driver’s seat. The driver was taken into custody and transported to a nearby police station for a formal breath alcohol test. Police have not disclosed the result of the test or the name or nationality of the driver.

Authorities confirmed that legal proceedings are underway, and the individual will face charges in accordance with traffic laws.

Stolen?

He'll be able to afford a new car and maybe even a condo if he reads some of these unfounded allegations and uses the thai defamation laws

I'm sure the liquor bottles were litter he picked up off the street to clean up the area.  Those "directional road signs", street lights, trees, curbs come out of no where sometimes.

Hopefully self driving cars will reduce those shenanigans the "directional road signs", street lights, trees, curbs play.

Alcohol always seems to increase the

Dunning-Kruger effect were people over estimate their capabilities.

Our condolences to the "Directional Road Sign" and its family.  It will be missed.  Next car probably had no idea which way to go.

Guessing the words ' well known school ' are a factor in them not testing him at the scene or releasing his name etc .

You assume too much, the article also said he had friends there.

When I was at school in the 60s and 70s our teachers were always in the pub at lunch time, we would watch them walking across the sports field towards the pub and walking back again. Never did use any arm. Think people who have no life jump onto things like this to give themselves purpose. PS nothing was said about him being over the limit. Charges could be reckless driving.

If found guilty in DUI: confiscate the car, fine and deport him. Enough alcoholics, locals and foreigner, in Thailand as it is.

Do any of them?   Do any of them have an O-level/GCSE (or whatever they call them these days)?
