I don't think people are particularly judgmental in Thailand about age, in the West they are highly critical. 

 

I am with a woman quite a bit younger than myself and she's also quite attractive, and I remember when we used to live on Samui the looks that we would get from foreign women would be quite amusing. Almost as if to say what you're doing is not right, it's not fair, it's against the rules, and you should be made to jump over considerably higher hoops that you have been subjected to! I married a 28 yr old Creole/Honduran woman, I was 58. We've been together for 10 yrs, traveled all over the States and had exactly zero issues.
So a white guy with a Black Latina, you'd think if there were issues, I'd have a pretty good idea of it.

He saying many would be highly critical.  You aren't going to experience real issues while travelling.  Nothing about your relationship is illegal but at the same time you probably would have issues becoming an active part of most communities in the States.  To not know this is ignoring obvious realities.  In the end, if you are both happy then all good.

Given almost 40-50% of marriages in the West fail, it's not much of a stretch that over half of mixed culture marriages of any age fail. 

 

Of the married westerners I know in Thailand, most have stayed together.

The wife runs a small 'restaurant' and bar. The locals will often come from a drink from about 5pm onwards and I'm staggered they insist on buying me beers......100 baht for a large Chang is a lot of money for them......maybe you're right, they talk about me behind my back and the beer is a guilt purchase.

Bullsh*t. The only place it would likely be an issue in the US would be with white man black woman in black neighborhood. 

 

And even then, if a white man showed up at a black church with a black woman, they would be welcome.

America and if you don't think there would be challenges for that type of age gap then up to you 🙂  Why throw race into it.  Your not one of those race baiter types? Most non libs are done with the endless race rants.

I have no issue with the age gap but find ignoring reality is slightly entertaining and in your case (wife 30 years younger) it is predictable but honestly thought you were the type that didn't need validation.  Kind of a let down - you are usually quite authentic 😞

One incident........Bar on the Paris.

 

Two women, Welsh (rugby shirts), kept glancing at us. They bought two pints of Guinness and walked straight towards us......I had visions of them throwing them over us.

 

They put the beers down on our table and said.....'that's for you, the prettiest girl in the world'.....'and that's for you, the luckiest bastard in the world'......and walked out.

Like I keep saying, you are the exception and I assume you also have a good relationship and are generally happy.  You obviously think your wife is beautiful but IMO mine would put yours to shame and stories like the above are a common experience.  She is also a wonderful partner as well as being beautiful.  Hard to get this with huge age gaps but happy you have been the exception and you do seem like a good bloke.
