Trump erratic behavior, impulsive decisions/reactions, befriends with dictators and somehow admiring them, his relationship with Putin and his love for attention, his big ego making him a dangerous person. Last meeting at Nato questions were risen about the potential of Xi and Putin working together to create diversion and at the same time preparing simultaneously military actions, they know very well Trump's personality disorder, Putin has been plying him for quite some time and all of it being under China's control/advise, it's obvious that Trump would (is) not a credible international leader in such matters, Nato knows that Trump is a TACO and they better prepare themselves to be ready without the USA

Better to play your cards right for the future now!

Can happen, historical seen, most likely because of several coincidentally happenings the last few years, but things can also smoothening out for awhile before more tensions escalates.

China demands their place in the world society and their economy will need more territory and more resources so they do not collapse, same as Usa with allies

The Tweet in the artical says it all

SG Rutte has clearly gorged on too many of the magic mushrooms beloved by the Dutch. He sees collusion between China & Russia over Taiwan, and then a Russian attack on Europe. But he's right about one thing: he should learn Russian. It might come in handy in a Siberian camp

WW3 could happen, I guess

but the media enjoys the mind control games and playing on people's fears too much

so may not happen right away

it's way too much fun to scare the crap out of everyone

One advantage: WW III would be so bad we wouldn't have to worry about small sh!t anymore.

Will happen. When? Who knows. Maybe we’ll all be dead and gone by then.

China?

In all possibility an elite core of Chinese would survive a nuclear catastrophy better than western localities purely by preparedness.

Taking Iran's  Fordow site as an example of preparedness against even the best that the US  could implement  and  yet survive total destruction who is really to know of what the Chinese have prepared given the multiple examples of civil engineering surpassing any other ?

The concept of underground habitation is ancient already  as has been discovered in Turkey.

It should also be noted that such preparedness indicates a philosophy of defense  rather than aggression.

The funniest thing is this dutch idiot thinks Russia will risk a nuclear war over Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. What would Russia even gain with these tiny insignificant places? Nothing at all.

Totally ludicrous nonsense by this dutch idiot.

Why are you shouting? Do you think it will make you more believable?

Well China will have these amazing super projects to hit, like 50 square mile EV factory, super high bridges, megacities.

Nah, China won't risk what they have , they have done more to help developing countries that the West ever did

SG Rutte is right, of course. With the US an unreliable ally at best, Europe must work for ever more integration, and produce weapons like the survival of the best and most important continent in the history of the world depended on it, because it does.

With the US an unreliable ally at best “

Since when?

Getting Eurotrash to pay their fair share doesn’t mean we’re unreliable.

Just more anti-Trump nonsense.

Likely when the containment of the Chinese economy fails. That may take a while. The Chinese will be provoked to attack Taiwan, and on it goes.

The West wants a war with both Russia and China and have been engaged in provocative rhetoric for year.

Will we have WW3?  Yeah probably.  Started by the US and NATO.

Perhaps an American can explain why the US would want a war with China and Russia, but from a European perspective why would we want a war with either? What advantage has it for Europe? And why risk it given that there is no guarantee that we would be successful?

Hence the Little Pink accounts in China have become noticeably more noisy about reclaiming lost territory from.......Russia. They have Vladivostok in their sights.

This isn't Chinese government policy, even though there was a bit of a border shift recently. Xi is attempting to keep control in China, and that might be weakening with these nationalists, fired up about movies depicting mighty imperial China. Perhaps Xi's fear of a Russian loss is related to if that would inevitably trigger a collapse in the Moscow government, 1918 style, and a final dissolution of the Russian Empire, feeding the expansionist instincts of the Little Pinks and others. One thing Xi wants is stability and "harmony" (on Chinese terms). He wants a predictable world, not a half wit in the White House and a speed-fueled Putin, plus the Fat Boy in Korea getting ideas. It seem the stars have aligned in a really bad way.
