None of the Thai women I associate with seem to care one way or the other.

Neighbours wives, the PTA, housing association members, my wife's uni pals and friends ....... Almost zero interest.

A story worth considering:

About 15 years ago, I was in a 7/11 in Phuket, near Kata Beach.

A bar girl who was in the 7/11 at the same time clearly thought I couldn't speak Thai and she asked if I might need some help.

Her English wasn't good, but she helped me find what I was looking for and she was very polite and helpful.

At no time did I feel she was coming on to me and she finished her own shopping and left. I was surprised how nice she was.

A few days later, I saw her in a Girly Bar as I was passing by. I never saw her again after that.

 

The point I'm making is that she was kind, pleasant and helpful. Live and let live, Pal!

There are thousands of other Thai women who are not Bar girls, but  who will look down on you or screw you for your money

As I said earlier, most Thai women are not bar girls, I have only said positive things about them, the negatives were very clearly aimed at bar girls, I can tell you for a fact normal Thai women hate them, you should hear what they say about them, does that mean then have a scathing attitude to women as well? 🤣

If I was trying to BS I would say she has houses in London or NY not Thailand, houses here cost bugger all.

 

I suppose it is hard for you to understand that it is possible for many Thai women to be successful in their own merit and have money etc, you and I probably mix in very different circles. 

 

I suppose as so many people on this forum have married bar girls who as far as I can tell by what I have been told usually come from Isan which is the poorest and most uneducated part of the country with its own culture/language seeing as it has only been part of Thailand for 150 years, they have a one sided view of Thailand. 

 

I was chatting to four blokes once in a restaurant, each were married to bar girls from Isan, one said he had just bought a car for his wife, a house and they compared how much they send to their wife's families every month. They thought it was normal to do that.

 

They asked me how much I send and I said nothing, they did not believe me as they thought it was standard to do that, what idiots, I did laugh.

 

And it looks like they will never meet or come into contact with successful Thai women and so have an incorrect stereotypical view that all Thai women are poor as that is the only class of people they mix with.
