Trump promised 200 trade deals. He’s made 3

Uhuhu - so what you're saying is that inflation is lower?

Is that not the opposite of what people said would happen when the tariffs were introduced?

It's lower because of global oil prices, it's an external cause. Food inflation is already higher.

As you probably know, businesses have imported and stored products before tariffs apply. Goods sold are still mainly from those stocks. Unless they are perishable products such as fruits. Another point is that there has been so much TACOs that some products have not been taxed, or taxed at a lower rate than initially announced. The effect will be felt this summer after goods stored are sold out.

Aha - unable to answer the simple question. Then spitting the dummy out like a frustrated toddler.

The basic premise of the thread - TACO - is childish.

When challenged to name one counrty that has had it's tariff status restored to Biden era trade arrangements - you can't.

Utterly pathetic, woeful and childish.

Classic shift to ad hominem — means you have no argument.
It’s a subliminal acceptance of submission and defeat.
I win — you lose.
Thanks — and have a good night.

You don't know what ad hominem means.

You can defeat me by answering the question.

Post the name of a single country that Trump has returned to Biden era trade agreements after imposing his tariffs.

Just one.

So inflation is lower but it's not lower?

Is that really your argument because no one can be that stupid?

Now - if you said "I expect inflation to increase later this year as the tariffs take effect" - that wouldn't be stupid. That would be a fair call and we'd need to wait and see.

Non US citizens are affected by Trump and his  tariffs.  Why shouldn't they have a point of view.

Yet to see how anyone here has been negatively affected by anything Trump has done, its just all froth and spittle over never ending misleading or false news headlines

The highlight of your day is pretending to win an argument on here. That's not a life. No wonder you Trump haters are miserable.

"Every Economist"...And many economists agree a little bit of inflation ican be good for an economy Jeez! Inflation is not the end of the world. Look at China. They are the country that is suffering from inflation and their leader Xi is soon.to be deposed.  Thanks to Trump.

If you are rich, inflation does not matter. The value of your assets increases. Poor, different story.

FFS, do some research before posting absolute rubbish. China's year on year inflation rate for 2024 was 0.2%. May 2025, -0.1%. That's called deflation.

I'm trying to relate why people participate in these types of threads.  They go nowhere and everybody gets a rush trashing others.  Interesting and I wonder why the OP enjoys starting them.  She/he seems like an intelligent yet nasty individual.

It's good banter if one only indulges for a few minutes a day.

There are some thoughtful and incisive posts on both sides of the fence, though some prefer repetitive terms of abuse- leftie, libtard, communist, socialist ( god knows why they're terms of abuse).

It's simple though, repetitive morons go on to the ignore list.

Ignorance (of posts) is bliss indeed!

You’re so right — a loser arguing on AN 500 times a week definitely isn’t a life.
No wonder you’re finally seeing it.

Good? It's the same stuff daily for years.

What were Donald's words regarding the certainty of the tariffs deadline on August 1st?

"The deadline was firm but not 100 percent firm."

Hilarious, Don you're so dodgy, devious, etc.

Who would ever buy a second hand Tesla off you?

Probably because he is too busy talking out of what would be the affected orifice!

Its not 100% firm as there is an appeals court decision on 31-Jul so all these tariffs could be blocked again.

More CNN tripe from resident Trump basher

I just can't get over how unattractive your avatar is. I mean it's positively beastly. It's a woman thing pretending it's a man right?

Do Black lives matter in Thailand? How is that even a thing here? BLM totally irrelevant (bowel) movement relegated to the dustbin of history

FEM - See, this is precisely what we normies have taken issue with. You gays seemingly have an insessiant need to project your sexuality publicly. Your sexuality is apparently your entire identity.

So much winning! Could this be the reason for this epic failure on Trump's part to secure these trade deals. Is it winning fatigue that has led to this TACO bonanza?

Trump promised 200 trade deals. He’s made 3

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/07/09/business/tariff-trade-deadline-delay-trump-bessent

"At the conclusion of his first 100 days in office in late April, President Donald Trump made a stunning statement about his progress on tariff negotiations: He had completed trade deals with 200 countries. More than two months later, Trump has announced just three of those agreements – with China, the United Kingdom and Vietnam."

And the so called China deal is just a loose  framework. What people don't realize is that Trump is a terrible negotiator, and he's hired substandard people on his team, which is his stock in trade.

The other aspect of this is that countries simply don't want to be dictated to, and they're getting sick and tired of American arrogance. BRICS is getting stronger by the DAY, and people are now actively pursuing alternatives to AMERICA, which in the long run is a great thing for the world. But, a horrific outcome for the US.

Thanks Don, for making us irrelevant with your stupidity, for raising prices, increasing inflation, diminishing Medicare, and lowering the quality of life at the average American.

This TACO drivel. I'll tell you when it applies. It will apply when Trump puts his hands up and says "I can't do a deal with XYZ country. I apologise for introducing tariffs against said country, and we will return to Biden era trade arrangements with said country."

aka - never, ever going to happen. These drivelous lunatics can't get over the fact that just about every country on earth is tariffed at 10% or more. They forget to mention that Trump hammered certain countries this week, including Thailand.

The notion that he "taco'd" because he extended a deadline by three weeks is weak comfort to the brain dead. And remember this -

As long as he has the new tariffs in place against any country the idea of TACO is toddler logic.

Do you even know what tariffs are?

I appreciate that you are   referencing CNN, but I would not call the undertaking with China a trade deal. The USA lost access to Chinese  rare earth and  the US manufacturing sector would have started  grinding to a halt as the rare earth exports  stopped. So, the USA and China reached an interim understanding. China is just biding its time.
