Kiss ?

Saw them on a tour where they didn't wear the make-up.  Think it was in the early or mid 80's and the 'Lick it up' tour.  Maybe it was that reason (rubbish reason of course), but I didn't enjoy their set.  But, I saw them at Download and they were magnificent.

  • No   Last 'new' artsts' CDs that I bought were Jonny Lang & Kenny Wayne Shepherd, both back in 1997.  They were just getting noticed.    Hadn't heard anything else of interest

  • If you like Johnny Lang and Shepherd, you'll like Joe Bonamassa, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Walter Trout, and Gary Moore, just to name a few.  It's okay, I'd get thumbs downs from the usual pedants,

  • Larkin Poe. Tedeschi Trucks Band. I gotta admit that Susan Tedeschi has kind of a schoolmarm vibe, like I better do my homework before I listen, even still...what a band.

Check out an American rock blues duo called “ Sons of legion “

found them recently, can’t stop playing their music

Well it is/was the joy of Youtube, you come up with total new bands and songs.

But it is growing less and also the quality.

Last finding is Polyphia, though they are active since 2010.

Like some shredding? Ilan Ashkenazi, he loves it.

Road Runner United, combination of different artists, making some noise.

Favorite of mine:

Or what about this one?

But doesnt matter , can also listen to Benny Goodman, Soraya (Spanish singer and then the realy early works of her, very moody) Sade. or blue grass. Really doesnt matter, just enjoying the music.

Here an oldy

Or what about this one? Quite moody, but love it.

Half way the song, there is an immense long sensitive solo of Erwin Java. Really I flip with that solo, it is amazing, I think.

Wasnt on youtube then, so I placed it.

Turn up the amp.

Wow! Carolina.... very nice, thanks!

Joanne Shaw Taylor - Friend with the nice dressed man Joe Bonamassa, is what I am listening just now. Not so bad.

I have listened to manynof the above mentioned and also a bit more experimental of Frank Zappa, Rush, of course the Grunge bands in the 90'ies, as well Metallica and System Of A down

To many to mention, but Youngblud is a new star bringing the true rockn roll back. Just discovered him at the Back To beginning the  farewell concert for Ozzy. Check him out

Here is Disturbed with their cover

I have met Harry,we did not live too far away.Saw him with his band Cuby and the blizzards and also solo;

He was part of the early Dutch Blues scene and in his early years he performed with Herman Brood who was very famous and full of stories.

Check out these clips i really like.

Back to Black was wonderful.  That she died was tragic.

AH you were running around in Twente. Think would have been nice meeting Harry and of course then a Herman. But thats a long time ago. Though Herman once more came back.

My first thing was Slade, especially with this number.

Well Beth & Joe are a good for a hell of performance.

I really love the cover from Ike & Tina.

And then you think what can I do with Beethoven?

OK, let it rock

Well if you want some newer rock, find on youtube  Later... with Jools Holland.

Magnificent program on BBC, though I never keep up when it is.

But saw it sometimes.

In his show big names pop up, as well less big names, but the songs !

Paul Mccartney, Amy Winehouse, The Verve and so on and so on

For instance

Or this one

OK this isnt a rock song, but it is a hell of a song, so well performed, so moody.

I had to put it up here.

Sometimes You hear from a band a real good version of them.

As this one from Wishbone Ash, it is way more rougher then normal, but they should play this song like THIS !

YOu find this one on youtube? Clutch !

2 numbers I like.

SPOTIFY !!! Is wonderful...

I had cassettes long ago. Mostly I love to listen in the car - - my latest car doesn't even have a CD Player - - cassette players long gone.

But Spotify has absolutely everything you could want - for a very small monthly fee I can listen to near anything ever recorded and I can so easily make playlists - click and slide and then that playlist is available to me in my car - via my telephone or off my computer at home... and they will make playlists for you based on what they think you might like, be it new or old...

I still like Bromberg, Van Ronk, Dylan, Joni Mitchell - - but sometimes find some new stuff too...

Her skills are beyond extraordinary - -  the sound is awful - for me, nervous and annoying - -  but thanks anyway,
