Funny old world.  Between threads about war & the struggling economy, we get a boring vlogger talking about British food. 🤷‍♂️

The woman doing the expose is clueless as to how unappetizing it all is. Obviously, being British no idea what good food is

The Sunday carvery. An excuse for overweight, pot bellied men to eat bland, fattening food and gain even more weight. Genius.

Obvious a 🔔🔚 that’s never been to UK so never eaten good English food. Just the 💩 they cook over here and call english food. 🤷🏼

If you are really that desperate for English food you can get all the ingredients you need in supermarkets that specialise in that stuff or online and cook it yourself at home in your own oven, exactly to suit yourself.

You can even order cooked food online and have it delivered.

So what's the difference between her OP and "ordering cooked food online" that you seem to be asserting is better than her experiment?

Well, at least there’s one positive comment in here. But honestly, this thread more than most really showcases the depths of grumpy, miserable-boomer energy that occasionally bubbles up on this forum. How bleak do some people need to be?

I’m only surprised we haven’t had the inevitable “I didn’t come to Thailand to eat Western food” comment yet - or some tired remark about her looks. Give it time, though...

Western food and British Food in Thailand - there's plenty around and a lot of it is excellent - Thailand really is a foodies paradise for all types of cuisine.

Here you go:

I didn't get where I am today by eating Thai food (with apologies to Reggie Perrin).

Ah, good ol' U.S. of A............🤭

I wonder what type of fish is being used for that fish and chips.

If not vegan at least try to go vegetarian. Much better for the planet.

What does that even mean?

If it was an attempt at being funny/clever then you failed miserably.

Egg, chips and beans. Note the homemade chips, none of that shoestring European/ American rubbish.

Maybe just too subtle? But is its tricky to point at a cultural vacuum without offending.

That picture is of people in east Pennsylvania, U.S. of A.

Convince me I am wrong!

Why is it so difficult to find the best British food in Thailand.

Because there is no such thing

but ofcourse greedy people abused his generosity by gouging and only buying a glass of water. Eating and leaving. It was a very good little bar.

I don't understand. Was he giving it for free that people were buying a glass of water, eating and leaving? Did he expect people to buy alcohol? I don't drink alcohol. Why would I buy alcohol?

This is the first post in ages that  I’ve read every comment , I love to find places in Thailand that have good food similar to ireland , there is some Irish pubs & English pubs that  do some real tasty dishes , I like Thai food but nothing compares to what we are used to at home ,the same goes for Thai people my wife of 20 years will eat Irish food if in a restaurant/ house party or wedding etc but after that it’s Thai food for her all the way when she is at home cooking etc

even when I  am down in south Thailand away from the tourist areas  a McDonald’s can be a god send some times as it’s exactly the same and you know what your going to get taste wise or a 7/11 in the evening for a ham & cheese toasted sandwich or a beef & onion pie in an English pub (tourist area again of course) with some  Hp sauce 😋

I am going to disagree with you about McDonalds in Thailand being the same as in the U.S. of A. (if that is where you mean).

I usually not to eat at a McDonalds in the U.S. of A. because the food there does not taste good.   The food in McDonalds in Thailand tastes much better.   I am not sure why.

Sometimes after eating a burger at a McDonalds in Thailand when I am back in the U.S. of A., I will order the same burger in McDonalds there.   They do not taste the same.

When I was a poor Univ. student, can of beans 10 cents, loaf of day old bread 10 cents.  Cans of string beans, carrots, peas, potatoes, were all 10 cents a can.  I ate meat once a week.  Hamburger was 39 cents/pound.

Some of it looks ok But the fish and chips are a definite NoNo… Fish is dripping in oil and those Chips certainly look like the frozen oven variety… YUK…

she'd be doing well to find that wherever she went   but lucking at her I reckon she favours hairy fish pie, Why else would she come here?    furthermore considering the price of food like that over here, which i don't think was mentioned, a few weeks of eating on a regular basis would be more expensive than flying back home and eating the real thing

How much do these tik tok twits make?

I found the video fun and gave it a smile.  Then I read the comments, and realized that there is nothing under the sun that people on this site can't crap on.  Wow, what a sad lot of Negative Nellies are on this site.  (I await your negative, nasty replies. 555!)

Got's to be honest that all looks rough.

I am assuming the lady in the video is attempting to be some sort of influencer?
