Perhaps you should read the link that explains why they were targeted then you'd have some understanding.

Perhaps I already have, and realized it's more propaganda designed for people like you to swallow.. Perhaps you should take a nap and let the adults continue the discussion.

I never wrote or even implied that was true, nor do I believe doubting the words of the IDF equates to doubting the Holocaust.  I mentioned the Holocaust as an example of a horrific series of events which some people choose to deny, despite mountains of evidence that it did indeed happen.

Same-same with Hamas operatives masquerading as journalists.  Plenty of evidence, but some choose not to believe it.

Every thinking human has even more reasons not to believe Hamas. Take a look at these excerpts from the Hamas Charter of 1988.  Do you believe in the truth of these statements? Would you trust the words on other topics of anyone who did?

@stevenl  Do you believe Jews were behind the French and Russian revolutions? Do you believe in the truth of the "Protocols of the Elders of Zions" or that Zionists are attempting to dominate the world through groups like the Freemasons, Rotary Clubs and Lions?  Hamas does.

All excerpts from:  https://avalon.law.yale.edu/21st_century/hamas.asp

Article Thirty-Two:  The Islamic Resistance Movement calls on Arab and Islamic nations to take up the line of serious and persevering action to prevent the success of this horrendous plan, to warn the people of the danger eminating from leaving the circle of struggle against Zionism. Today it is Palestine, tomorrow it will be one country or another. The Zionist plan is limitless. After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying.

Article Twenty-Two:  With their money, they took control of the world media, news agencies, the press, publishing houses, broadcasting stations, and others. With their money they stirred revolutions in various parts of the world with the purpose of achieving their interests and reaping the fruit therein. They were behind the French Revolution, the Communist revolution and most of the revolutions we heard and hear about, here and there. With their money they formed secret societies, such as Freemasons, Rotary Clubs, the Lions and others in different parts of the world for the purpose of sabotaging societies and achieving Zionist interests. With their money they were able to control imperialistic countries and instigate them to colonize many countries in order to enable them to exploit their resources and spread corruption there.

Article Twenty-Two:  You may speak as much as you want about regional and world wars. They were behind World War I, when they were able to destroy the Islamic Caliphate, making financial gains and controlling resources. They obtained the Balfour Declaration, formed the League of Nations through which they could rule the world. They were behind World War II, through which they made huge financial gains by trading in armaments, and paved the way for the establishment of their state. It was they who instigated the replacement of the League of Nations with the United Nations and the Security Council to enable them to rule the world through them. There is no war going on anywhere, without having their finger in it.

Article Twenty-Eight:  The Zionist invasion is a vicious invasion. It does not refrain from resorting to all methods, using all evil and contemptible ways to achieve its end. It relies greatly in its infiltration and espionage operations on the secret organizations it gave rise to, such as the Freemasons, The Rotary and Lions clubs, and other sabotage groups. All these organizations, whether secret or open, work in the interest of Zionism and according to its instructions. They aim at undermining societies, destroying values, corrupting consciences, deteriorating character and annihilating Islam. It is behind the drug trade and alcoholism in all its kinds so as to facilitate its control and expansion.

Article Twenty-Eight:  We should not forget to remind every Moslem that when the Jews conquered the Holy City in 1967, they stood on the threshold of the Aqsa Mosque and proclaimed that "Mohammed is dead, and his descendants are all women.  "Israel, Judaism and Jews challenge Islam and the Moslem people. "May the cowards never sleep."

The Slogan of the Islamic Resistance Movement:  Article Eight:  Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.

Article Eight: There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with.

Article Seven: The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said:  "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews." (related by al-Bukhari and Moslem).

I am aware Hamas revised its Charter in 2017 to remove the most idiotic antisemitic tropes, but it has never revoked nor distanced itself from the original.  The revision was most likely done at the insistence of foreign backers and supporters to make the Palestinian resistance to Israel seem less rabidly antisemitic.  The change was cosmetic at most.

The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) have filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court against the IDF Chief of Staff, Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir and others they believe to be responsible for the killing of journalist Anas Al-Sharif.

This led to the HRF identifying “the chain of command behind the killing,” which it listed as Zamir, Maj.-Gen.

No doubt Israel is guilty of a multitude of war crimes and has gone from being a legitimate state to a terrorist state, under the guise of a functioning democracy.

The US should stop all support, until they get rid of the racist, genocidal maniacs within the government.

From his Twitter.  He was a religious nut first, journalist perhaps third or fourth.  His ability as a journalist to be impartial, independent, and truthful are highly suspect.  Doesn't mean he deserved to be martyred, that is, assuming he was not engaged in terrorism as a member of Hamas.

This is my will and my final message. If these words reach you, know that Israel has succeeded in killing me and silencing my voice. First, peace be upon you and Allah’s mercy and blessings. Allah knows I gave every effort and all my strength to be a support and a voice for my people, ever since I opened my eyes to life in the alleys and streets of the Jabalia refugee camp. My hope was that Allah would extend my life so I could return with my family and loved ones to our original town of occupied Asqalan (Al-Majdal). But Allah’s will came first, and His decree is final. I have lived through pain in all its details, tasted suffering and loss many times, yet I never once hesitated to convey the truth as it is, without distortion or falsification—so that Allah may bear witness against those who stayed silent, those who accepted our killing, those who choked our breath, and whose hearts were unmoved by the scattered remains of our children and women, doing nothing to stop the massacre that our people have faced for more than a year and a half. I entrust you with Palestine—the jewel in the crown of the Muslim world, the heartbeat of every free person in this world. I entrust you with its people, with its wronged and innocent children who never had the time to dream or live in safety and peace. Their pure bodies were crushed under thousands of tons of Israeli bombs and missiles, torn apart and scattered across the walls. I urge you not to let chains silence you, nor borders restrain you. Be bridges toward the liberation of the land and its people, until the sun of dignity and freedom rises over our stolen homeland. I entrust you to take care of my family. I entrust you with my beloved daughter Sham, the light of my eyes, whom I never got the chance to watch grow up as I had dreamed. I entrust you with my dear son Salah, whom I had wished to support and accompany through life until he grew strong enough to carry my burden and continue the mission. I entrust you with my beloved mother, whose blessed prayers brought me to where I am, whose supplications were my fortress and whose light guided my path. I pray that Allah grants her strength and rewards her on my behalf with the best of rewards. I also entrust you with my lifelong companion, my beloved wife, Umm Salah (Bayan), from whom the war separated me for many long days and months. Yet she remained faithful to our bond, steadfast as the trunk of an olive tree that does not bend—patient, trusting in Allah, and carrying the responsibility in my absence with all her strength and faith. I urge you to stand by them, to be their support after Allah Almighty. If I die, I die steadfast upon my principles. I testify before Allah that I am content with His decree, certain of meeting Him, and assured that what is with Allah is better and everlasting. O Allah, accept me among the martyrs, forgive my past and future sins, and make my blood a light that illuminates the path of freedom for my people and my family. Forgive me if I have fallen short, and pray for me with mercy, for I kept my promise and never changed or betrayed it. Do not forget Gaza… And do not forget me in your sincere prayers for forgiveness and acceptance. Anas Jamal Al-Sharif 06.04.2025 This is what our beloved Anas requested to be published upon his martyrdom.

A place with less than 2 million people with more than 300 Aljazeera journalists.. Well that's cute

And yet Israel have slaughtered at least  186 journalist since this war began.

As I previously asked you, perhaps you should address the  discrepancy and disagreements between all the "expert's and special interests. As of August 11, 2025, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) says at least 186 journalists have been killed since the start of Israel's military offensive in Gaza in October 2023.

The UN say 242 journalists have been killed in Gaza since the war began.

That's a difference of 56 people. Do you think that maybe  some of the journalism groups recognize that a large number of people claiming to be journalists are not? Why do you think there is a discrepancy? Why isn't anyone asking about that?

Can you also explain why the lists include known Hamas operatives?

Are you denying that Hamas uses journalism positions as cover for its operatives?

Not a rant at all.  I just asked you a few questions which you were incapable of answering; Your unwillingness to face certain facts is what paints you as antisemitic.

'slaughtered' .... wouldn't that depend on what religion they are ?   Maybe 'set them free' is more appropriate :coffee1:

The official motto of Hamas is (my bold text):  "Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes."  https://avalon.law.yale.edu/21st_century/hamas.asp

According to some Islamic traditional beliefs, Al-Sharif is now keeping company with 72 celestial virgins.

U.S. aid to Israel, especially weapons or money for weapons, is the best possible use of my tax dollars.  Most bang for the buck, so to say.

Completely disagree, as Israel is one of the biggest waste of tax dollars.  As is most of the defense budget, and the largest part of every annual budget of Congress.

As the US military certainly isn't protecting US soil, air or waters, and the border is wide open to criminals & drugs killing Yanks of all ages.

Giving money to Israel doesn't benefit the USA in any way.  Basically supporting their whole economy on borrowed money, to top it off.   Loans, the US tax payer will never be able to repay.   Loans that keep on draining the tax payer's coffers .... for ever.

No kiss, No KY, just a giant F You from Israel.  IMHO

n 24 July, Avichay Adraee, the Israeli military Arabic spokesperson, branded al-Sharif a long-time operative of Hamas’s military wing.

The Committee to Protect Journalists described Adraee’s statements as “unfounded accusations” that “represent an effort to manufacture consent to kill al-Sharif”.

Jon Williams, executive director of journalism charity the Rory Peck Trust, condemned the air of impunity that surrounds Israel. “Not in a single case of a Palestinian journalist being killed by Israel, has anybody ever been held to account, before or after 7 October 2023.”
