A Thai grandmother is making a heartfelt plea for public assistance after her 12-year-old granddaughter, Pitchanan, also known as Noona, vanished over two weeks ago in Chon Buri. The disappearance occurred on 29th July, when Noona left the family's Si Racha home on a red and white Honda Wave 110i motorcycle, intending to withdraw money from a nearby ATM.

Daeng, the 63-year-old grandmother, has been tirelessly searching ever since. She recounted how Noona’s father transferred 300 baht (approximately 8,180 Thai Baht) to her on the day she went missing. Suspecting an accident, Daeng fears Noona might be hospitalised without identification.

Despite filing a report with Si Racha Police on 4th August, Daeng awaits updates. Her hope now lies in amplifying the story through the media and social platforms in a bid for any crucial information that could lead to Noona's return.

The region is no stranger to such distressing incidents. Last week, a similar scare unfolded in Chiang Mai involving three young girls, aged seven to nine, who disappeared from their school dormitory. A review of security footage showed the girls, umbrellas in hand, walking away.

Initially thought to be heading home, they were eventually discovered hiding in a local cemetery, driven by hunger to emerge in search of food. This was reportedly not their first escape, although school authorities have remained tight-lipped about their motivations.

These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about child safety and the importance of community vigilance in ensuring the wellbeing of young ones. Daeng remains hopeful that collective efforts will bring Noona back safely.

As Daeng continues her relentless search, any sightings or information about Noona can make a significant difference. She urges anyone with relevant details to step forward, hoping for a quick and safe resolution to this troubling mystery.

Noona’s father transferred 300 baht (approximately 8,180 Thai Baht) to her on the day she went missing.

How many times has this 'conversion' been posted in various articles. Is the 300 baht not Thai baht? If so what sort of baht is it that makes it worth 8180 Thai baht.

Quite confusing.

A 12 year old that leaves on a Honda Wave to take money from the ATM?

Another 12 year old on a motor bike!  Presumably with no licence or insurance?

Kinyara?

Yep... quite normal

What ever happened to the 3 girls that were missing last week ?

Let's hope she wasn't whisked away with the cash and bike by someone lingering at the cashpoint.

Not normal, but accepted here. Grandma in charge, dad and mom away living their lives, children not watched or treated as well as they should be.Children grow up too fats in many areas, but here it's ways that are against the law and all about negligence.

It's the bike that is insured and it is done through road tax (third party). Its Thailand so 12 year olds riding a motorcycle is the norm especially on school days. I never take my eyes off of my daughter who is 13. I take her wherever she wants to go, I do my utmost to keep my children safe (maybe to much).

Who does the reporting? If you criticise you get banned - if they had proper journalists instead of dyslexic retards, we wouldn't pick fault. But who read that article, who checked it, who set up the page and the spelling? No one? A 5 year old wouldn't come up with this crap!

its much better than nothing !

maybe she has a 35yo boyfriend

is she the girlfriend of that chap that got done for some pills ?

Isn't the legal age for riding a motorcycle in Thailand 'supposedly' 15 years old for up to 110cc? For bigger bikes it's 18.
