Hey I would lobby myself for Trump to win the prize IF:

he brokers a solid peace deal Ukraine/Russia that is NOT a surrender of Ukraine that provides actually real security guarantees  for Ukraine that does not force Ukraine to demilitarize and does not ban them from joining NATO sometime in the future.

Chances of that happening? Oh well, ZERO.

44 got Nobel peace prize for political reasons by a coloured Nobel Peace price Committee led by  Torbjørn Jagland. He is the most corrupted Norwegian politician I know of when it comes to lobbyists and comrades within the European and Norwegian parlements, and was chairman of the Nobel Peace price.

Obviously, the main perhaps only reason Trump is bizarrely obsessed with winning the prize (much more than actually doing a good job) is because Obama won it undeserved. Just because the Nobel people made a mistake with that doesn't give Trump the right to force them into a mistake in favor of him.

Again, if he can really solve Ukraine-Russia, he would well deserve it. But he clearly can't.

Don’t make me laugh. “Actively pursuing peace”? Get your head out of the sand. Trump knows less about international relations than an ordinary schoolchild; his only concern is making himself look good. He’s only obsessed about a Nobel prize because Obama got one, and he’s been fixated on Obama ever since Obama roasted him at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

 

Who should win, then? For starters, I think the Nobel Peace Prize should be reserved for people and organizations who aren’t politicians, as politicians usually have ulterior motives for their actions. How about the groups Women Wage Peace and Women of the Sun, Israeli and Palestinian (respectively) organizations who collaborate in advocating for resolution of that conflict. They were nominated last year. That’s one idea of many.

You get stuff you want from Trump by praising him effusively. It costs nothing, but gets you party favors and door prizes.

 

The Pakistanis are the best at doing that. IN the recent Kashmir dispute, they behaved all unctuous and grovelingly sycophantic to Trump, and thus they get some foreign aid. OTOH, Modi, who is adamant about no outsider having any say whatsoever about the Kashmir issue, did not praise Trump for doing nothing (India and Pak have been working these things out for decades), so India gets massive tariffs. In response, India will keep buying Russian oil and filling its military with Russian equipment.

 

What you call "WINNING" IS equivalent to having a lottery ticket matching maybe a single number......but destroying it in the wash.
