When an attorney working for the DOJ exhibits that kind of contempt for LEOs, that demonstrate pretty clearly how he feels about the rule of law and performing his job in a non-partisan and professional manner. 

 

So, yes.  That's an example of an unelected official trying to sabotage the duly elected guy in charge, doing what the voters elected him to do.
