Tragedy Strikes: Journalists Among 15 Dead in Gaza Hospital Attack

In a shocking incident, 15 people, including four journalists, are reported dead after a strike on a Gaza hospital.

 

 

An Israeli attack on the southern Gaza Strip's Nasser Hospital has resulted in the tragic deaths of at least 15 individuals. Among them were journalists from Reuters, Al Jazeera, Associated Press, and NBC.

 

Rescue workers on the scene faced a second deadly strike. Video footage captured smoke billowing from the hospital.

Reuters confirmed that its cameraman, Husam al-Masri, was killed. His colleagues, Mohammed Salameh of Al Jazeera, Mariam Abu Daqa of the Associated Press, and NBC photographer Muath Abu Taha, were also among the victims.

The Israeli military and prime minister's office have yet to comment on the attack.

 

As rescuers worked amidst the chaos, another strike added to the devastation. Shockingly, footage shows a doctor highlighting the horrific aftermath as the attacks continued.

This incident highlights the increasingly dangerous situation in the region. The world watches as the conflict escalates further.

Of course any President except Trump would immediately denounce and condemn Israel for the strike against a hospital and the resulting deaths of journalists from two of its top American newsgathering agencies - the Associated Press (AP) and NBC. Wanna bet Trump just shrugs it off?

If hospitals are being used in anway to support war they lose their status of neutrality. Why was the hospital hit?

Really?  Johnson didn't call out the Israelis after they murdered 34 Americans, attacking a clearly US flagged vessel.  Then they machine gunned survivors in life boats.  In fact, he called back a group of US fighters sent to defend the USS Liberty.

 

If you read any history at all, every president since Eisenhower has had times and events where they were livid at Israel, but did nothing.  

 

Johnson, I understand.  He was the most corrupt man to ever become president and I have no doubt the Israelis had the goods on him that would have sent him prison.  (I say that as a Texan, who's known people who knew him personally).  But every other president?  I don't know what hold Israel has over US politicians.  But I do have my suspicions.

Yes, I posted about this before (USS Liberty). Good point about Johnson though.

If "your enemies" hospitals are bombed, that "your leaders" will just stay that the hospital was full of terrorists and used for terrorist purposes.  But that's all it take - "All these people are terrorists and deserve to die and hospital deserved to be bombed."  To Israelis and their supporters, all Arabs are "terrorists - man, women, and child - no matter where they are, including in hospitals" and they all deserve to die.

One can argue endlessly about who started it all and where justice truly lies, but that is secondary. Today, it is about the survival of the Jewish people in their own state, and in such circumstances Israel’s leaders have no room for lofty poses or abstract ideals.

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul spoke out on Monday against the Israeli government's planned military offensive into the city of Gaza, where large numbers of civilians are currently sheltering.

 

"Our credibility as a global European actor depends on consistency – in defending international law, opposing terror and protecting civilian lives," Wadephul told the Croatian Ambassadors' Conference in Zagreb.

 

"In our view, the decision by the Israeli Cabinet to take over Gaza City and intensify ground operations does not promote either of those goals," the minister said.
