These young generation drunk drugged hooligans should be banned from entering Thailand. In fact, Thailand should implement a specific compulsory visa with appropriate prescreening,  for all the drunk teens less then 30 years old, no matter from which country. 

On a more positive and virtuous note, I'm sure the 2 lifeguards were more than happy to receive the 10,000 baht, between them....

TThe altercation was caught on camera, showing a group of foreigners attacking two lifeguards who were enforcing safety warnings. The lifeguards highlighted red flags signalling unsafe swimming conditions due to strong waves and winds.

 

Despite the warning, one tourist called over family members who then assaulted a lifeguard. Another lifeguard attempting to assist was also attacked, with reports of spitting involved in the altercation.

 

Authorities from Chalong Police Station summoned the involved parties, who later paid 200,000 baht in compensation. A public apology was issued at the Rawai Municipality Office, where the tourists formally expressed regret to the lifeguards.

 

The incident sparked an online debate, with some netizens urging the police to enforce legal penalties, including potential bans, in order to prevent future occurrences. Concerns were raised about the adequacy of compensation as a deterrent.

 

It is important to note that the police consider the assault a criminal case that cannot be resolved by monetary settlement alone. They confirmed their intention to pursue legal consequences, with updates expected soon.
