In a shocking case that has alarmed a local community, immigration and city police officers arrested a 59-year-old American language teacher on charges of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13 in his classroom.

The suspect, identified as Mr. Majit, an American national, was apprehended on 29th August at the language institute in Muang district, Suphanburi, where he was employed. The arrest followed an investigation into allegations that spanned from mid-July 2024 to August 2025.

According to police reports, the victim was a student of Mr. Majit and was allegedly assaulted on multiple occasions. The teacher is also accused of using force and threats to intimidate the child. The victim, living in fear, eventually confided in her mother, which led to a formal complaint being filed with the authorities. The Suphan Buri Provincial Court subsequently issued an arrest warrant, leading to his detention.

Pol. Lt. Col. Peerapat Klaiklueng, superintendent of the Suphan Buri Immigration Office, provided details of the case. "Initially, the suspect denied all allegations of assaulting the victim," he stated. "However, in this case, police have crucial evidence, including CCTV footage from inside the classroom."

The video evidence reportedly shows the suspect, while teaching the victim, inappropriately touching her body without her consent. When the victim resisted, the teacher is alleged to have thrown an object at her before walking out of the room. The incident is said to have occurred in the presence of the suspect's other students.

Immigration police are now conducting further checks to determine if the suspect has a history of committing similar offences in other areas of Thailand or in his country of origin.

Following the legal proceedings led by the Muang Suphan Buri Police Station, authorities have immediately begun the process of revoking his right to remain in the Kingdom, citing his behaviour as a danger to society.

Another mentally ill US-guy! How can people go this low. 59 years old, and in need of a child under 13. As they evidence, this guy should face 10 years in one of the worst Thai prisons, to later be deported as persona non-grata. Hopefully he will get beaten very often in jail. He deserves it!

These kind of predators are very welcome in Bangkok Hilton’s showers. 🥰

For 59, this pedo looks to be in pretty good shape.

He'll be needing those muscles to fight the rest of the prisoners when they learn he's a pedo in their midst.

Take him out. Nobody needs to learn American language. It's a disgrace.

He looks a lot like one of my former colleagues from about 15 years ago. If that's him, I'd be surprised he did that because he avoided advances from his M. 4, 5 and 6 students.

Lock the kiddie-fiddling bastard away where he can get some of his own treatment.

If it is your former colleague, maybe M4, 5 and 6 were too mature for him?

The court should impose a ten-year sentence at Bang Kwan Central Prison, followed by transfer to the CECOT facility in El Salvador.

regardless of sentence in Thailand, when he returns to the US he will face the same charges and do 20-30 years - in the case of sex offenses in other countries, there is no double indemnity law.   He is toast.

Read

He should get another 5 years for teaching them to speak with an American accent,

Perhaps some of you on this forum may know about this. I read several years ago that Thailand has an agreement with several countires that if an alleged sex offender is tried and then convicted for crimes against a minor in the Thai courts, the perpetrator will be deported to his or her own country to serve their incarceration time.

Is this true? When I read about this I recall one of the countries was Australia, but I am not sure about the US or UK.

Your former colleague had a similar heavily pixelated face 15 years ago?

I don’t give a damn about his accent. He’s is a sexual predator and deserves a long vacation in Bang Kwan Central Prison.

Don't deport him right away. Do it ONLY after he has served a lengthy incarceration. This nonce deserves nothing less than a period behind bars.

That's assuming he taught them anything at all ...

Yes, a Canadian man is now serving a long sentence in an American prison. John Renshall was an administrator at AUA who offered sex tours to foreign men.

Even though he is not in the U.S. it is a federal crime with a sentence of 15 years in prison.  And, federal charges rarely lower the time in prison.

Hope he gets all he deserves.

No, there is English and then there are mistakes!

If he was israeli , he would just fly back home, no consequences.

How much more do you get teaching the Australian accent?

It says they are now investigating whether he has been involved in this type of activity in Thailand or other countries 🤔  oh well that's nice to see the vetting process is as robust as ever .

Can you imagine the law suit if this happened in the west where no background check appears to have taken place 😳
