Would you pay 900bt for LUNCH buffet ?

Featured Replies

Gotta say this is a treat : Wisdom Buffet in a few Bkk locations

If its a decent spread, absolutely.

900 Baht is not expensive. Yes I would and frequently pay way more than that for a good lunch.

We've taken a look at the breakfast choices, here's a Lunch Buffet.......good value?

No, I wouldn't. In addition to buffets being a breeding ground for unhealthy bacteria, with an expensive buffet you feel compelled to "eat your money's worth," which necessarily results in overeating.  It's a oddity in modern society that eating is seen as some sort of recreational activity (just like shopping). And then we wonder why people are so unhealthy.

Really, so you mean that 900 baht is soo much for you, that you have to eat like never before. You know, we guys that have no problem with paying 900 baht for a lunch, also can afford to treat it as a lunch and not over eat, but select a variety instead of one single dish.

I can´t help feeling a little bit sorry for you.

I didn't say that 900 baht was too much for me. I'm saying that you could order a variety of dishes a la carte for well under the figure.

900bt is fine for me, if the buffet is really good and people say it’s worth it, then I’d definitely try it.

I don't do buffets too often anymore.

It's unhealthy overindulgence.

But for a special occasion or sth, this looks good.

I saw a buffet that had a sign that was fining people for leaving food uneaten at their table.

X baht per 100 grams of leftover food fine.

People are abusing buffets, leaving a bunch of food on the table.

Sign or not, it´s common knowledge that most buffets are charging for uneaten food on the table. Absolutely nothing new. Has been for over a decade.

Would I pay that much, as a one off yes, but at over 3,000 calories for a few small plates, I'd rather keep my waistline in check for now.

For special birthdays and anniversaries, maybe. For an everday meal, not a chance. I usually order the appetizer in a restaurant. That is enough to fill me up.

Rama Garden Hotel have a nice daily buffet. Its about 900 THB. Used to do it quite often but now getting old and don’t eat as much as previous. When we first started eating there it was less than 400THB. Very good value then as would sit there about 1.5 hrs. They even had Bangkok Post newspaper there.

I don't do all you can eat and especially don't like buffets. Low quality food, food sitting

900b for a meal I should be stuffed - just order a proper meal it comes hot and made on order
