How to watch movies options Bangkok

Featured Replies

So any advice so appreciated.

I rent a condo that has good WiFi (you pay for) however allows only one connection at a time.

Previously used Netflix and was connected to tv via hotspot.

So to the point. What options do I have to watch content be that Netflix or otherwise.

BTW : I do not use phone. Calls always via messenger Line etc

I have a true sim but no WiFi plan.

I just use WiFi in my room or wherever I am.

TIA.

Never heard about paying for wifi, and only one user connection. Sounds weird. At hotels I get temporary guest access while waiting for room, who often have only one user and one device only, but never experienced the same for paid condo wifi. Do you have your router at your room, and do you have the PW to change the set-up? Might be the former owner who restricted the access?

First up.. Thanks for post.

I actually live in an apartment.

So all rooms are rentals. I was not clear..

We have option to pay for WiFi.

So looking for a way to either buy a phone package or whatever. Also option to use apartment WiFi as it's included in my contract

The TV is new smart TV if that makes a difference.

I'm so vague as this is outside my field.

Two choices, buy a sim deal with included data, usually up to 100gb on Lazada or Shopee or pay for wifi at the apartment, that may be better as if it isn't good it's likely you can cancel.

You'll be able to use Netflix and Youtube etc on the Smart TV, no need for a box unless you want all the sports, movies and series elsewhere

I have an unlimited 5G data phone plan which I  hotspot - at high speeds - to my smart TV, firestick, android box, tablet and 2 laptops (sometimes all at once)- so no need for any internet plan in my condo.

^ The AIS 5G unlimited plan for about 1,200b per month works fine for me. We travel a lot and all of us always have high-speed internet access - shared from my phone -  no matter where we are in the Kingdom. No more using (potentially unsafe) public or hotel Wi-Fi ...and no more wasted money buying restricted "home only" internet plans.

How about one of those hotspot devices with a data only SIM package? You can find one year data sim packages for under THB2000 on Lazada too

Something similar to this:

Really appreciate your replies.

Thinking your plan is bit overkill for me.

My phone is purely for banking and social such as AseanNow and Facebook Reels etc

I don't use phone for calls other than messenger, Line etc

I don't have a phone Plan.

I only use phone when WiFi is available.

The movie thing is purely of an evening to chill and looking to cover that need.

That might be the very thing that suits my needs.

Also the price point is great.

Will check out the link.

I allways use the hotel wifi because it's free and good speed,That said i have to use 2 simcards in my phone.1 from Thailand and the other from my country.Thats because i HAVE to use my sim from my country using banking such as transfer money..log in to government websites that need a BankID login and so on.

Normally i never bring my phone with me outside because i don't need that.If i go for a beer i like to sit and talk with people instead of playing my phone and update everything in my FB.

Or even something like this. A mobile SIM router

As I have been locked out of Netflix,.. If you have a laptop get a 5mtr HDMI cable, first google 'free movies' one is Plex and another is one that gives YouTube old movies and old Netflix movies, to watch on your TV sorry this does not resolve your wi-fi problem...but free movies= Netflix can go and fork themselves.
