Police in Nakhon Si Thammarat are searching for a man accused of fatally shooting his brother-in-law in what investigators say was a revenge attack. The incident happened on the evening of 17 September 2025 in Khun Phra subdistrict, Phipun district, near a ceramic factory. The victim, 18-year-old Mr. Thanudet, was shot in the face with a shotgun and died at the scene.

Police were alerted to the shooting and rushed to the location with forensic teams and rescue workers. They found the victim lying by the roadside next to his overturned blue Honda motorcycle registered in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Officers confirmed the teenager had been killed instantly by a single shotgun blast.

Witnesses and preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had been riding his motorcycle when he was confronted by a known relative, identified as his brother-in-law. After stopping him, the two reportedly exchanged words that quickly escalated into a heated argument. The suspect then fired at close range before fleeing the scene.

According to police, the motive stemmed from an earlier conflict that same day. The victim had allegedly assaulted the suspect’s child, who is also his nephew, during a family dispute. This act is believed to have provoked the brother-in-law into carrying out the deadly shooting hours later.

Pol Lt Col Warutthiphong Wattanaprichaphong, an investigator at Phipun Police Station, confirmed that officers have identified the suspect. Pol Col Luechai Thongsin, superintendent of Phipun Police, said evidence and witness testimonies are being compiled to issue an arrest warrant. Police teams are actively tracking the suspect, who remains at large.

Authorities stated they are confident the fugitive will be captured soon and brought to justice. In the meantime, officers are gathering additional evidence to strengthen the case and prevent any further escalation within the family. The body of Mr. Thanudet has been sent for autopsy before being returned to relatives for funeral rites.

ah there you go, got what you deserve eh?

you assault someone else child, what you expect, I would expect nothing less than a bullet or a decent beat up.

but stupid ones use bullet, the smart ones beat to a pulp but leave alive.
