A 25-year-old Moroccan woman died after jumping from the seventh floor of a hotel in central Bangkok in the early hours of 20 September 2025. Emergency responders discovered her body near the hotel’s pool area, with head injuries and other trauma. Police and forensic teams are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall.

The incident occurred around 02:25 at a seven-storey hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 13, Khlong Toei District. According to the victim’s boyfriend, who is of the same nationality, they had been smoking cannabis with a male friend prior to the incident. He reported that his partner expressed suicidal thoughts before walking to the balcony near the pool and jumping.

Hotel security staff and lobby personnel discovered the woman after the fall and confirmed she was unresponsive. Authorities collected evidence at the scene, including statements from staff and witnesses. The body was then transported by Ruamkatanyu Foundation personnel to a hospital for a detailed autopsy.

Police and forensic officers are continuing to gather evidence, including reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel. Investigators are also interviewing the boyfriend and other witnesses to clarify the events leading to the fall. Officials emphasise that the investigation is ongoing and no conclusions have been drawn regarding the events leading to the death.

Gawd, the demographic has changed significantly.

Back in the day white, middle aged/elderly guys.

A couple of days ago it was a 40yo Indian guy now 25yo Moroccan woman.

What does it says about Thailand or the world in general?

Very sad story.

The rails at balconies are too low by far.

The woman jumped, she was probably happy to see the low balcony rail.

I somehow think she didn't fall, ...RIP young Moroccans predominately Muslim unmarried going on holiday together seems unusual to me, but maybe time have changed in Morocco.

No doubt Thailand is a hub of de-balconization. Next: government orders two meter high barriers on all balconies.

Why didn’t they try to stop her. That’s my question.

Maybe she was harassed by the BF to have fun with his mate and did not like it, PLAUSABLE?

Another tragic ending to a Thai Holiday.  RIP…

They sure have.In the 60s and 70s Tangier was the gay equivalent of Pattaya.

Thousands of wholesome white males used to flock there for bum fun.

Sad for her parents RIP

Jumping to a conclusion.  Having a boyfriend itself is a scandal, and now she is running off to strange countries and taking drugs, no doubt gossiped about back home. bringing shame to the family.  Her death may actually be a relief to them.  Bear in mind this is a culture that accepts honor killing, and it saves her parents from having to do the necessary.

Disclaimer: myself, I don't agree with any of this, but attitudes like this are real.

On the other hand there are Moroccan working girls on Soi 3, maybe the boyfriend aspired to be her manager and she just realized that.
