These things point out those with personality disorders. I am Jim but not wound up in the slightest, I actually feel sorry for the guy. I would suggest mediation, or even therapy for such troubled souls.

I would never leave a substantial amount of money in a Thai Bank. I transfer sufficient funds to Thailand when needed.

I've never heard it explained that way. It's more about a  person who has ADD trying to adjust or compensate for their own symptoms, for their own good and it's usually only about them and not others. Using hidden strengths to compensate for any perceived or actual weaknesses. The way it affects others is their inability to maintain personal relationships with others. I'm guessing you were just being sarcastic.

Why an agent ?

 

There was this small time east european builder-contractor,  who had an immigration officer as a neighbour. For 15'000 THB , he had "fast-track"  Vip access at the local immigration office, no queues and the annual visa was stamped in a jiffy. The chap had no money in his bank account, and his best "agent" was the immigration neighbour who fixed things, for a reasonable "compensation".  No forms, hassles or anything. 

I am curious.. Seems the word sexpat is used quite often yet, everyone seems to have their own ideas about what constitutes being a sexpat. If you are in your own country and go to bars regularly and pick up women for one-night stands or even a prostitute for a quickie. Does that make you a sexlocal? or a sex predator? 

Or perhaps you are in the market for finding the right woman to make a long time relationship with here in Thailand, but it means you date and meet and perhaps even sex many women trying to do that or even find some bar girls you pay for LT or ST until you finally find the love of one women that matches you. Does that make you a sexpat? 

Or one step further, you found the right Thai lady to marry, but still have affairs with other women that also want sex together. Does that make you a sexpat? 

Or is it an age thing? You are getting older and like those nice tight 20 or 30 year olds that still get wet when excited. Does that make you a sexpat? 

 

If all those things are what is a sexpat, then what are they called when you are doing it in your own country? There is no difference except that you are doing it in a foreign land and perhaps is costing you less money to do it. No malicious intent as the name sexpat seems to hint at. 

 

There are many who post this word like it is something to be frowned upon. Marking the person as someone bad. But is it really? 

I am most sure there is not a single man in this forum (except for Bob) that came to Thailand and the first Thai woman he had sex with, he married and she has been the only woman he has had since they have been together. I am also most sure, that if you are younger, that you changed Gfs several times before finding the one you wanted to be with always.
