New phone - irritating problems with Lazada and Line.

Featured Replies

I have just upgraded to a new phone - Xtel X02, running Android 13 - trying to install the Lazada app but whatever I do it seems only available in Thai. Even if you Google "Lazada app Thailand in English" and download the app it opens in Thai - which seems rather daft!

With "Line" installed you only get the audio alert when you open the app, and it no longer has the little red dot on the home screen which tells you that messages are waiting. Irritating!

  • Buy cheap, buy twice. 1800 baht? How can you expect anyone to troubleshoot a phone that no one else has?   Apart from that, why would you expect an application for Thailand to open in Englis

  • Ok, that went better 😉  My guess is that the OP should try a little bit better quality phone 🤣

Never heard about Ctrl. Could it be it's a CN Rom?

I mean China ROM = Chinese system not Global system. Rom=read only memory.

So change the language to English, it only takes a few taps.

You really need to explain this..it is nonsensical

If it's a China phone without free global access then sometimes you can't download special apps in all available languages. It's restricted by the system.

On some China phones you wouldn't find Google play. Or Whatsapp but WeChat.

So try to change the language.

If this is not possible go to the settings and go to the specs.

Shouldn't be an Android problem.  Maybe due to OS....maybe....if it was Huawei running Harmony?

More likely to be the location settings, like trying to download from Google playstore.  Available apps can be restricted by your regional setting, and can be changed once annually.

Buy cheap, buy twice. 1800 baht? How can you expect anyone to troubleshoot a phone that no one else has?

Apart from that, why would you expect an application for Thailand to open in English? Perhaps you need to find a friend to go into the application to find the English language switch.

Have you gone into LINE settings to enable the Notifications that you seek?

Try this, although I'm thinking you might have already found it................

.

Horrible bloated app anyway. Despite having a bit of a downer on apple and the infuriating niggles with their products, have always owned an iPhone... they just work. If I had a Mickey Mow phone, I defo wouldn't be doing anything serious on it like exchanging monies etc. Sorry, guess this doesn't help much. 😋

What the heck is an Xtel X02? When I search on Google it comes up shoes. 😂

Phone Lazada. I had to as I couldn't access from my laptop, it took weeks but I'm now logged in.

Which infuriating niggles would that be then @Liverpool Lou? I would suggest that it is the other way around.

Because it had very low specifications compared with today´s requirements.

OP is running Android 13, and I'm running 12 on mine.  LAZ app works fine, as do all.  Just need to learn how to change language to English.

My last 2 were iPhones, I am impressed with the Samsung at the ridiculously low price tag....🤗

Not rocket science

One picture forgotten

After selecting Language - English:

Select right button to confirm

It's great when the OP comes back to thank everyone for taking the time....

I hate apps myself, BUT, the app does offer discounts the site does not, and some add up to quite a bit, relative to the price (~26% / ~43%) ... 2 latest purchases w/app only discounts

Shop on the site, check out on the app ...

Did you buy the A06 on Lazadaa and does it have NFC?

According to internet it should have but a seller on Lazadaa bluntly stated it didn't.

Is that a stripped China version then or is the seller trying to save face because he doesn't know what NFC is.

The other day I made a round amoung many phone seller's at a mall and no one knew what NFC was.

Not even at an official provider's desk.
