The event at Pattaya City Hall was officiated by Mayor Poramet Ngampichet and is part of activities leading to the pageant's final on October 4 at Siam Fantasy, Asiatique The Riverfront. The pageant seeks to select a Thai woman of Chinese descent to represent Thailand at the 2025 Miss Chinese International event in Hong Kong.

 

The Pattaya visit featured a key segment, Pattaya’s Favourite, running from October 1 to 2 at Alexa Beach Club. This included a sunset swimsuit showcase, highlighting Pattaya's natural beauty and the contestants' elegance. Pitsada Songklod, the competition’s director, emphasized the pageant’s role in celebrating both beauty and the Thai-Chinese identity.

 

Contestants took part in numerous cultural activities, photo shoots, and interviews. The events are being broadcast on various platforms such as MVTV, TVB YouTube Thailand, and Hong Kong’s TVB, reaching millions of subscribers. Mayor Poramet noted the event's potential to boost Pattaya's tourism and cultural profile internationally.

 

The Miss Chinese International pageant is renowned as a platform for emerging talents of Chinese descent. This year’s Thai delegation showcases a blend of tradition and glamour, set against Pattaya’s iconic beach sunsets. The national winner will represent Thailand in Hong Kong, competing with participants from multiple countries.

I shows how desperate Thailand is to attrack tourists.. They have no clue what tourists want... simple things.. allow alcohol sales/buying, vaping, stop double standards and pricing and welcome tourists  even if they write a negative review of a restaurant or hotel...instead of constantly negative news everywhere will do more good than a beauty contest..how difficult it is to understand such things

Beauty pageants are as out of date and worn out as Pattaya is.

Good job I dropped my daughter off at the airport a few days ago, the rush at the airport of visitors arriving to see a minor beauty pageant in pattaya will cause huge travel delays

Just how many "tourists" do they really expect a beauty pageant to attract.... personally...bugger all

 

I've seen the Japanese version of this movie. 

 

It was very watchable. 

Why have a pageant in Pattaya, when they already have Soi 6 and Walking Street etc.

If I remember correctly, the Japanese version had the contestants wearing 100% less coverage, other than the pixelation in certain areas.
