The most likely explanation is that Cloudflare sees something suspicious in your connection to the Internet.  Are you using a VPN with a heavy-duty cloaking program?  I frequently get the query about me being a robot, but I don't regard it as much of an inconvenience.  I click the box, press submit and it's done, maybe five extra seconds.

How are you being rejected on AN?

I had some issues when browsing AN and was being presented with the "I am not a robot" challenge. I discovered that the issue was that the time on my computer (Thai time) was different to that of the country that my VPN connected to (Singapore). I installed my VPNs browser extension and set it to connect to Thailand. That fixed it.

Interestingly my PC never comes up with the Cloudflare prompt.

But my tablet, which is on the same fibre connection (but via WiFi), does almost every time.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I have a similar problem with Cloud Flare and AN, but ONLY after 10pm Thai time at night. I can use AN all day with no problem, but after 10pm Cloud Flare asks me once only for verification that I am human. It doesn't matter if I am already online or if I have just come on line.

I am not using a VPN and it only happens with AN and no other website.

As soon as I am verified, the problem goes away.

Do you have third party cookies disabled? If you do then Cloudflare will not be able to recognise your repeated actions (such as viewing a new page or trying to post).

This is because when you successfully pass Cloudflare security it adds a third party cookie to your device which enables you to bypass any future challenges (normally for 24 hours).

Instead Cloudflare will see you as a new (untrusted) visitor and challenge you. Every single time.

Just a thought.

Thanks for this info @blackcab. I was having problems with the Cloudflare challenges (see my post above) which I managed to circumvent. I do have 3rd party cookies blocked. I have now undone my VPN workaround and allowed all cookies. I was then presented with the Cloudflare challenge which I completed. I can live with the challenge if it only occurs once per session. Will monitor the situation.

@Mutt Daeng If you dig into your browser settings you may find a whitelist option.

Using it is optional.

You can disable third party cookies but then add a site to the whitelist. Doing this will allow third party cookies from the specified site(s), but will disallow all other third party cookies.

Using this option takes a little effort, but it allows you to dictate which third party cookies you allow  rather than allowing all third party cookies.

I don't like adverts and tracking either, so for me it's a balancing act between being private and being frustrated.

Thanks for the info @blackcab. I've re-disabled 3rd party cookies and added aseannow.com to the whitelist (I think). Will monitor the situation.

Update: Still getting Cloudflare challenges. Added Surfshark browser extension to Brave browser and set VPN connection to Thailand. Sorted. No more Cloudflare challenges.

Deleted aseannow.com from 3rd party cookie whitelist in Brave and blocked all 3rd party cookies again.

CloudFlare uses Anycast address from each node.   Is your path changing?

I don't change anything at my end, and I doubt my ISP makes multiple changes every day only between 10pm and midnight.
