I set my stall out and here I am in Thailand.

I managed to start my mess while dumb and young in Thailand.  Then bring the mess I created back to America and then another decade after returning to Thailand.  Maybe I shouldn't be advising Freddy 🙂 

 

My friends and family back home would get a good laugh if they read this thread.  My only defense is that I'm no longer that person.  Freddy could change also but he isn't ready.

When I went through an ugly divorce, I reflected on all my mistakes I made and rarely blamed anyone but me.  It eventually put me in a place where I could put my life back together.  I hope "I" will never make the same mistakes.  I can be a fool so no guaranties but I can hope 🙂

Having 5 children who are doing well, with this 8 year old soon to follow, is hardly a train wreck.

 

Most relationships end, with everyone on earth, and always will, and all of mine did amicably because of different future plans, with the exception of the ones I had children with. Most everyone who's had children knows what happens when one parent doesn't want the job.

 

That I, the man,  took up the responsibility of raising those children, well, with no abuse or neglect of any kind, and seeing them doing well also shows there weren't any deficiencies but just picking a couple partners that weren't good. No one but I and my closest family and friends know how these women were.  Labeling all that I've done just with these few doesn't work, as no one was there.

 

And where do I not have a sense of humor? Having to defend myself against others downgrading you because they're anti social doesn't have a thing to do with my humor. You can't see but a few posts and know all about someone.

And I'm taking my child here to a much better place for HER. Her mother gave her other two away at 9 and 10, got one back, gave her away to grandma, then to her first daughter, because she doesn't want the responsibility.

You have not seen much of Thailand. Sitting in a village googling stuff isnt travel. You married the first woman you met.

No, I met many, and ended up marrying the wrong one, but seeing a beautiful, smart daughter came from it, it was worth it. Again, you don't know where I've been, even in Thailand, so assuming doesn't help, and again, bragging about traveling means nothing.

Didn't your files show you that my other 5 children are all doing well? One is again in college, after completing his first 4 years, and getting his pilot's license. One is living, by herself, in Portland, helping the elderly in a group home. One is living in New Jersey, with my grandchild, making good money. One is  working as an EMT. Another is married to a great son in law, both working, homeowners on 15 acres in the country, one granddaughter in college with a scholarship and the other doing very well. Seems like I did a pretty good job, especially seeing the women didn't want to do their part, just like the one here.

This is not entirely accurate. For example, in NZ and Australia, which are virtually welfare states these days, there are plenty of hookers plying their trade. In NZ, it's a taxable profession. There are many reasons why Thai girls work in bars. It's a better income for many, and they have the chance to hook a monied foreigner and live the dream.

Some stay together miserable for 50 years. Some marry childhood sweethearts and stay together happy. Others marry quick and stay together decades, while some take3 years to marry, then divorce after a month. You think you, nor anyone else has the answers? Have you been married? I think that is a key element for sure.

 

Certainly for uneducated, poorly educated rural girls.......farm-work is horrendous and the pay is pitiful.....nothing to do with me, but we pay 250B for an eight hour day and work is only sporadic....(free food!!!)

 

Compare that to ....maybe???? 3000B per day, free drinks.....????
