Shoppers and tourists in Bangkok’s Siam Square were left alarmed on the afternoon of 13 October when a 41-year-old Indian tourist, caused a public disturbance by shouting and waving what appeared to be a gun. The incident occurred around 16:00 in front of the Novotel Hotel, prompting an immediate response from security staff and police. No injuries were reported, and authorities later confirmed the weapon was a small model gun, not a real firearm.

Witnesses described scenes of panic as the man, appearing visibly agitated, paced around the busy shopping area while shouting incoherently. He then drew the miniature handgun and brandished it in front of startled bystanders, causing pedestrians and nearby shoppers to flee for safety. Security personnel quickly intervened, subduing the man and confiscating the fake weapon before handing him over to officers from Pathumwan Police Station.

Police from Pathumwan Station later confirmed the man’s identity as a 41-year-old Indian tourist, Sahil Ram Thadani. He was charged with committing acts that harass, threaten or cause distress to others and with making threats that cause fear. Officers conducted an on-site inspection of the seized item and verified it was a non-functional model gun incapable of firing live rounds.

Authorities also performed a drug test, which detected cannabis in the suspect’s system. Investigators believe this may have contributed to his erratic behaviour during the incident. The man was escorted from the scene without further resistance and officers worked to restore calm in the area following the brief disruption. Authorities said they will continue questioning the man and will proceed with legal action in accordance with the law.

But imagine the fear the people must have felt when he pointed the gun at them while gripping it between his thumb and index finger.

'Acting the goat'. I haven't heard that expression in years. My poor old mum used to use it when chastising me when I was a kid.🙂

Damn. I missed that! What a wonderful opportunity to test out my Carbon Fiber/Kevlar walking stick. While everyone else runs screaming, I could have been beating.

Good for you! Not the first time you express your desire to inflict pain upon a person.

Keep looking and you will find someone who is willing to shove that Carbon stick where the sun does not shine!

You would make an excellent ICE agent.

but then again Pete does not like fat soldiers.

What a let down. I was expecting a real gun and not a novelty item, that looks more like it is used as a lighter. I doubt anyone was frightened by it.

Stalker, LOL. Give an example of unecessary violence I have advocated.  And are you telling us that if you saw this loon waving a "gun" around, you would...

RUN AND HIDE? 555555

Run and hide LOL

Thank you. I wish I was young enough to serve my country and help remove the criminal terrorists that your ilk allowed to invade our country.

He would have fired Milley for sure.

If the individual has mental issues and needs to be on meds to function, it raises the question shoulld he have been allowed to get on the plane in the first place. Regardless,  fine and deport with long time travel ban to Thailand.  Looking after a howling gun-waving tourist in a congested area that could lead to unforseen negative events is not the problem of the host country.

Simple case of "Reefer Madness" - we were warned decades ago!! :giggle:

They got you hooked on that damn cAnubis, deep frying yer brain.

Now they wanna take it off the table so of course they have to mention it in the story with an Indian faker with a fake gun.

You better quit hitting that snooze bar people.

If that was the case, he wouldn’t be bothered running around like a goose. Sabai sabai.

It’s not the size that matters, it’s how you use it!

The problem is that some folks dont know their limitations.  If you are smoking bhang and then get some 31% in your bong? Bye bye.

One of my fav things to do at the smokers table is to whip out the legit USA concentrates on an unsuspecting Eurohippie. Boom, Ive see heads hit the table.

Two other points to consider:

1. Maybe the person holding it in the picture has REALLY BIG hands (like Pres Trump, who has the biggest and best hands in the world ... everyone says it), so it could actually be a full-size gun, or;

2. On closer inspection it looks like the slide is locked back, so maybe it's the world's smallest functioning gun, chambered in 0.0009 mm

Good job he wasn't looking at woman when he did this......you get life in the UK for that.
