Girl was raped and abused by members of her own family

Father, mother, brothers, grandfather and uncle are all found guilty

A court has found several family members guilty of a series of horrific abuses against a young girl in West Sussex. The abuse, which spanned years, involved the girl's father, mother, two brothers, grandfather, and uncle, leading to their convictions on multiple charges including rape, sexual assault, and cruelty.

The court heard that the girl suffered physical and sexual abuse beginning at the age of six. She was subjected to severe mistreatment, including being locked in a cupboard, burned, and beaten. Her attempts to confide in her mother were met with violence and intimidation, as the mother attempted to cover up the abuse.

In a three-hour video interview, the girl courageously detailed the abuse she endured. The abuse reportedly continued during cultural celebrations (Eid) and was compounded by both physical and emotional torture. Her younger sister also suffered physical abuse.

The authorities became aware after the girl confided in school staff, leading to the family's arrest. Despite attempts by the family to pressure her into retracting her statements, she upheld her allegations of sexual abuse.

The family members were convicted of numerous charges. The father and brothers faced charges of rape and sexual assault, while the mother was also convicted of cruelty and false imprisonment. The grandfather and uncle were also found guilty on their respective charges.

The victims are receiving ongoing support as the family awaits sentencing, slated for February next year. The case underscores the commitment to addressing violence against women and girls and ensuring justice for victims.

Key Takeaways

  • Family members were convicted of severe abuse against a young girl in West Sussex.
  • The girl bravely shared her experiences, leading to multiple convictions.
  • The victims are receiving support, and the perpetrators face sentencing next year

Filthy animals.

This same culture that would kill their daughter, perceived to have brought dishonor on the family, honour killings.

What's wrong with these people, you can't cure this sickness.

If it does not say that's usually the give a way, can't go offending the protected group. Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing.

EID ...... Muslims bringing more peace to the UK.

What is Eid celebration?
Eid al-Fitr, first of two canonical festivals of Islam. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting, and is celebrated during the first three days of Shawwāl, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar (though the Muslim use of a lunar calendar means that it may fall in any season of the year).

Hang them all!

Very carefully written to avoid any mention of the families "ethnic origin" or religion - pity  the reference to Eid slipped through - they need to get a grip of their sub-editor!

Again the west continues to protect muslims.  I watch a North American news station nightly and they always call muslims in Gaza, Palestinians.

These sick so called family members deserve the worst fate possible.

Did you read the OP?

The abusers were found guilty in a ‘western’ court.

The new conspiracy of The Daily Mail joining the old conspiracy.

They only mention nationality/ethnicity for crimes if the perp is white, like the guy who drove the car into the crowd in Liverpool.

Why police released details about Liverpool crash suspect so quickly

If there is no mention of it then it is safe to assume it is one of the protected groups, like Muslims (note the subtle reference to EID) or immigrants. At best they will mislead like they did with the "Welsh Choir boy". This is two tier Britain we are talking about after all.

Let's hope an appropriate sentence is given and not a slap on the wrist to account for "cultural sensitivities" or to avoid "inflaming community tensions". No doubt the community leaders will be consulted in advance to ensure they do not object to the sentence.

I didn't see Islam, immigration or race mentioned in the OP.

So where is the conspiracy? It was indeed, once again withheld as it always is if the perp is not White, British and preferably male.

Would you like an example?

Yes indeed, they don't want to offend Muslims in the UK for some reason?

I wonder why??:whistling:

Guidelines avoid naming non-white suspects' ethnicity early to prevent racism/backlash (post-1999 Macpherson Report). Whites get mentioned to counter "migrant" myths & stop riots. Called "two-tier policing" by critics.

There are many examples!

But usually involving only one member of the family and not the whole bloody lot of them covering three generations - more anti British obfuscation from Chomper Piggot

Can't really blame them.

If they release the information (about anyone other than a white British male) they might be jailed for a hate crime.

The precedent has been set many times.

Actually no, generational sexual abuse in families is not uncommon.

Had this happened in  Muslim country, the family would have been stoned to death or beheaded.

These poor sisters were very brave, perhaps something they learned at school in a different culture.

BTW, abuse is abuse no matter where it's committed. There are haters everywhere. Many seem to be proud to be them.
