Donald Trump ‘Is Most Successful President After Six Months

Featured Replies

what about the cost (to the american tax payers/companies) of his tremendous income with the tariffs, the truth is starting to show on the overall economy..... who the heck came up with the idea the guy was the most successful president

BTW, for those suffering from short  term memory loss..... Trump promised to pass the costs on other countries

The study’s authors noted that their estimate was “highly conservative”,  thus the real numbers must/would be much higher

President Donald Trump’s tariffs will cost businesses in the United States over a trillion dollars in 2025, and most of this cost is going to be paid by consumers, according to a new study from S&P Global.

US tariffs will cost business $1.2 trillion in 2025 and  Consumers will shoulder the burden

Yes, per the S & P Global article, the tariffs will cost foreign (not US) companies $1.2T.

Most people voted for keeping America for Americans in order to move the country forward.

Dem democracy favors keeping billions flowing toward  non citizens. Notice the Dems never mention undocumented or reference anything about who is suffering the wrath of deportations. Its always using the broad brush wording ,Immigrants.

Ai Overview:

"In 2025, deportation remains a prominent issue in many countries, driven by a range of factors including legal violations, economic concerns, and heightened political rhetoric. Recent developments and ongoing trends include the implementation of large-scale deportation plans, changes in enforcement policies, and significant fiscal and human consequences".

From the S&P report

Across the major S&P Global indices, 2025 revealed stark geographic divergence. Canadian and Chinese firms
showed relative margin stability, while Latin America, the Middle East & Africa, and Asia ex-China bore the brunt of
the margin compression. The U.S. and Europe tied in the middle for 4th and 5th, at 54 bps.

So, US firms not hurt much, if at all, and foreign companies bore the brunt of it. Good job!

Being in the middle category is not equivalent to not being hurt much.

China and Canada, two main targets have been less affected than the US, and Europe, same as the US.

BTW, no one claimed that foreign companies' profitability would not be impacted by Trump's tariffs!

When someone else takes the brunt, how much is left to split between the US and Europe?

In any event, consumers have to pay for corporate income taxes which hurt US companies and help foreign companies, but you love and want to raise those, yes?

What's the benefit of harming businesses worldwide, including in the U.S.?

Because they are run by greedy billionaires.

In any event t you have been proven wrong about US companies not included in the study and are still trying to deflect from it 🤣

What I said was: "Yes, per the S & P Global article, the tariffs will cost foreign (not US) companies $1.2T."

And the report shows that it will cost global firms $1.2T, including US firms. So your assertion was inaccurate.

Yes, it was inaccurate, thanks for the correction. That said, the impression I got from the post, was that this was going to cost US companies $1.2T, but in reality, it will only cost US companies a small part of that.

In any event, consumers have to pay for corporate income taxes which hurt US companies and help foreign companies, but you like corporate income taxes and want to raise them, yes?

The consumers have to pay corporate income taxes, yes?
