Yet another away win 2-1 at york, our away form 6 wins in a row and 9 so far!!!is truly table topping stuff but our home form is bottom of the table, 3 wins all season, the disparity is shocking!!!. Still, we're 5 th and we can improve , Next up Southend at home and seemingly our old player Barry corr is injury free and coming into a bit of form!!!!

Cov were 2-1 down with 92 minutes gone last night in the JPT and came back to beat Preston 3-2 in an amazing last couple of minutes!!

A two legged final (Northern dsection) against either Crewe or Bradford and then, whisper it quietly, maybe a trip to Wembley.

Back to reality this weekend though...............away at Carlisle. laugh.png

Doncaster Rovers take on Stevenage today after losing Dean saunders to wolves this week .He is about the most unpopular manager that Doncaster have had for a long time and will not be missed by most of the supporters,Brian flynn is the caretaker manager for the time being.Well done also to Coventry city on a fantastic result this week against a massive club like PNE.

Ha ha I take it that's sarcasm but I don't care, one step closer to Wembley!

I was 7 when we won the FA cup and my Old Man didn't take me. The bastard. Not that I'm still bitter or anything.

Cov have not finished in the top 6 of ANY league in 40 odd years and with all our off field problems a day out a Wembley would certainly go some way to giving us a little back!

Even if it is just the JPT!!!

A little bit of sarcasm from me ,but well done a good result and yes a good day out for the final. You still gave DRFC a good hiding the other week. I have been told that your lot were the best side to visit the keepmoat stadium this season

Rochdale have appointed Keith Hill as their manager for a second time after sacking John Coleman on Monday night.

In his first spell in charge Hill got Rochdale promoted from League 2 and then joined Championship side Barnsley from where he lost his job last month.

Whats the betting Coleman will be back in charge at Accrington Stanley before the end of this season ?

Watch out for reaction from mr bojangles live from a Bedouin tented village in the Saudi Arabian desert later ! laugh.png

GREAT DAY FOR LOWER LEAGUE FOOTBALL

CONGRATULATIONS BRADFORD

AWESOME !!!!!!

Do things ever work out for a manager the second time around at a club? well lets hope so for rochdale's sake

Anyway onto exeter, a disappointing 1-1 draw at torquay, followed by the rovers game postponed, gives us a time for players to get over those little knocks, however were on form and part of me say's keep going. Good news Curaton will be rested and ready, Gillum bauzza's fit and getting match time, he's woeful short at the mo, but when right

like gow imo he's 2 good for this division, bad news is our other striker offline, 11 this season, is out with a torn hamstring <deleted>!!!! How long? guesses start a month min' Next up home v torquay!!! live on sky no less...............

No cup run this year to boost finances, how long before the receivers are called in to "The New Portsmouth"?

Dream on. Think about your own perilous state & the fact your still lower in the table than us....& will be for the rest of this season.

Don't waste any time replying....this is my one & only visit this year

Coleman wasn't too far off MrBJ....For me the ekky thump chairman missed the boat on the appointment after Hill went was totally wrong....the momentum was lost appointing an inexperienced manager from the lower leagues......IMO..the likes of Ronnie More, Micky Adams, Steve Evans would have been a better fit at the time. Just to get my oar in biggrin.png

Nottingham Forest Manager Alex McLeish roumoured to have resigned!!!!

McLeish is rumoured to have resigned after the Al-Hasawi family, owners of the club, failed to sanction any of three transfers arranged by Mcleish during the January window. Another step towards Florist becoming the "New Portsmouth" Administration by end of season?

Keith Curle sacked from Notts.

As much about business (falling attendances) as football, according to club chairman Ray Trew.

RT quite mild in response to criticisms that he's made a series of poor manager appointments. He did note that Steve Cotterill was at least one successful one. In fact Notts aren't badly placed in League 1 at the moment, so Curle has not been a disaster by any means. However, performances at home have been bad, and overall performances have deteriorated in the past 11 games.

A lot of people would like to see Steve Cotterill return to Meadow Lane.

One suggestion that Hope Powell be given a chance was met on the Notts County Mad forum with a bunch of sexist jokes. A bit disappointing. The suggestion, though perhaps made lightly, was not a joke. She was considered for Grimsby Town a few years ago, if I remember right.

1=0 home loss and a 0-0 home draw against Torquay and aldershit respectively, all clubs do is park the kitchen sink and play one up when they come 2 Exeter and we're struggling to take our chances when we break them down, Away, DIFFERENT story glory , teams tend to want to play more and at FOOTBALL we can beat most in this division,.were at the bottom end of the play off's so things could be worse.

Adkins would be the immediate name that springs to mind but he's probably had his fill of fickle owners and boy there have been some bizarre owners in the years ive watched footie , but these are shaping up to be up there with most extreme.

Notts County have released the following statement...

On Friday evening it was brought to the attention of the Notts County Chairman, Ray Trew, that the Football Club is due to appear in the High Court on Monday 11 February to defend a winding up petition.

This action came without any prior notification to the Chairman and his fellow Directors. After investigation, it was found that this petition was being brought by Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC) for PAYE payable on Wednesday 19th December 2012.

More at http://www.nottscoun...ent-649224.aspx

This happened not long ago at Plymouth Argyle, who were advised the night before.

The club has put out an official statement insisting that all PAYE and VAT monies are completely up to date, and they are seeking advice re legal action against HMRC and the officer personally responsible.

A 3-0 record breaking 10th away of the season at morecambe 4 the mighty exeter city, curaton bac on the mark with a brace 4 his 17th and 18 th of the season. Bad news gow missed the game and he's out 4 A month, BIG LOSS he's arguably been our stand out performer so far this season. But in the play offs and gaining momentum. If only our home form were to improve, we'd walk this division, well ,,,,,,,,probably!!!!!

Perhaps HMRC got the wrong Nottingham club, maybe they meant to petition the winding up of Florist.
