The flipping nerve of some people

My gf is a travel guide. She has a bunch of Slovaks as customers. She packed them off at their hotel at 8pm and at 8pm she is on her own time. One of the daft <deleted> got a motor bike to go somewhere or other and crashed. Broke two ribs and both legs. She has been asked to go to the hospital to help out but her credit is maxed and can't get cash. Can I send her some cash. Isn't that the responsibility of the dumb stupid Slovaks. What is the betting they have no insurance. Sending cash for Thai families is one thing. I draw the line at dumb stupid tourists.

I don't think it is a scam. I am sure she could come up with a better justification for needing 2000 baht than needing to go to the hospital to sort some stupid Slovaks out. Why on Earth would she think somebody from the UK would want to bail some Slovaks out.

Wait and see if there is crowd funding to bail a Slovak out who crashed his motor bike and has not insurance. Or has insurance but no motor cycle license.

Pathetic reason for a scam if it is a scam. Why would I care about somebody who rented a motor bike and crashed it. I wouldn't help another British person let alone somebody from the EU.

She shouldn't need any money.

The motorbike CTP insurance will cover costs

Anyway, it's the hospitals job to get the money out of the patient

2000 is a decent chunk for taxi money to the hospital, why does the slovak (or one of the others in the bunch) not give it to her ?

You know in Thailand girls can have many boyfriends, quite likely she's asked the same from the others

Exactly my thought. If she doesn't have the taxi fare meet her outside the hospital and pay for the taxi. My thought as well that 2000 something else was going on

It is a relatively small amount to scam for. Just come up with a better excuse and scam a larger amount. She did mention the Slovak crashing the motor bike earlier in the evening. It was a few hours later that it seems she has gone to the hospital. If that is what has actually happened.

She did mention two days ago that she had some Slovak tourists and none of them spoke English so I think at least that bit is true. Scam or the truth is irrelevant, she is getting nothing.

The first thing you should do is a google image search of that X-Ray and see if she downloaded it from the internet.

Tell her you'll send some money for the poor fella to get a penile implant. Heck I'll even start a go find me. Poor little guy

Not really. I don't care so wont bother.

In LOS the money moves in the direction AWAY from the farang.  99% of the time.  Little chance you'll see that money again.

If she's really your GF, 2,000 baht is an insignificant sum.

If she's playing you, you're getting off cheap.

If you wish to check, go to the hospital yourself.
If you are NOT in LOS, you may be a statistic.

Already done that. I could not find it.

They don't speak English, what use is she as a tour guide if they can't communicate?

Just decide THE MAXIMUM you'll pay for your gf per month or per year.

Never go over the limit, you'll be just fine.

her credit is maxed

I gave my missus a spouse credit card, attached to my kasikorn credit card, 20k baht limit.

She's always maxing it out 😂

Ask the Slovaks, they are the ones paying. They still get an organised tour I suppose.
