I know Texans are nervous.  Bad enough to survive the mass exodus from California and the Left Coast.  Now, they'll be streaming in from the East Coast.  And not just NYC. 

 

Driving up the real estate prices and trying to bring the same liberal policies that destroyed where they just escaped from. 

 

At least the New Yorkers may bring good pizza and sandwiches.  I missed those when I moved from the east coast to Texas.

A lot of wealthy New Yorkers had ALREADY left for the 'burbs in New Jersey and Connecticut. Now they are going to go further afield.

 

Another problem will be recruiting and retaining staff.  There are rumblings that many members of the police department are getting ready to move on to greener and friendlier pastures.  DeSantis in Florida welcomes former NYC cops, now the city of Houston is actively recruiting them too.

In general, Texas pizzas suck and so do Texas sandwiches.   They skimp on the ingredients.

 

They make up for it with BBQ and Tex-Mex, but every once in a while a good pizza or sandwich hits the spot.

If I lived in states, I'd buy a gas Ooni pizza oven.   They're silly priced here, and beside, Pizza Co makes a tasty NY pepperoni pizza, and w/ 2 for 1 offer all the time, it isn't worth me making my own.

 

Memphis area did great bbq, and I use to get rack of ribs a couple times a month, when living there, my last 5 yrs before TH.

Its No place to have a career in Govt. Once they take from the rich to fund their welfare initiatives ,they go for bond loans, get extremely in debted and start cutting into the Local Government jobs and taxing the middle class.
