Trump’s Full Ukraine Plan Revealed — A Deal Built On Concessions

Donald Trump’s 28-point Ukraine–Russia peace plan — obtained by Axios and verified by U.S. and Ukrainian officials — would force Kyiv into sweeping concessions on territory, military strength, and future alliances. The plan, drafted by Trump envoy Steve Witkoff with input from Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Jared Kushner, was coordinated in part with Kremlin negotiator Kirill Dmitriev, who praised it for finally “hearing the Russian position.”

Hilarious it’s call Trump’s plan when this is the same 2020 Russia proposal that Biden rejected. Witkoff is nothing but a water boy for Putin and Trump remained the compromised idiot and pushing Putin’s agenda. This plan will be laughed off by Ukraine. No Ukraine leaders will sell out their sovereignty.

Disgusting behavior by the Trump administration, making deals with the invaders over the heads of Ukraine and the rest of Europe.

But, of course, totally predictable as it's been obvious since Trump 1.0 that Putin's got the goods on the traitor in the WH.

A security guarantee from the US?

They had that when they gave up Nuclear Weapons, look how that worked out.

Just gross. If this goes through, the US should do so in-kind and give California back to Mexico, see how that feels, and then the Russians give eastern Manchuria back to China. Tosspots taking others' turf in this day and age!

Ukraine gave up its Soviet nuclear weapons in exchange for security assurances from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia, and for economic compensation. Who would have guessed that United States will renege on the security assurance agreement. As for Russia, they can't be trusted, period.

Pretty good deal.

But I doubt that it will be implemented.

Avoiding nuclear war is a pretty good deal for everyone IMO. Can Trump/Putin strike a peace deal where Hunter and Joe become the Ukraines energy ministers so the left will be happy and everyone gets on with their lives?

Not only California, but Texas too, and the 8 other states that US annexed from Mexico in 1836.

Ukraine is ready for negotiations to end the war, but it has "red lines" that are clear and non-negotiable, according to the statement delivered by Ukraine’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Khrystyna Hayovyshyn, at a UN Security Council session.

The diplomat confirmed that Ukraine had received a draft peace plan from the United States and expressed support for US President Donald Trump’s stated intention to bring an end to Russia’s war against Ukraine.

However, Khrystyna Hayovyshyn stressed that Ukraine has its own "red lines." She noted that the country would never recognise occupied territories as "Russian," would not agree to any restriction of its right to self-defence, and would not accept limitations on its choice of alliances or blocs.

She also said that Ukraine would not reward what she described as the genocidal intent underpinning Russia’s aggression by compromising its identity, including its language.

The deputy permanent representative once again urged the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution on a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire.

Do you really believe the US can blast missiles deep inside Russia (under the silly guise of being fired by Ukraine) without consequence?

Conspiracy theory garbage.

Insanely good deal for Russia.

Emphasis on Ukraine would need to be insane to agree to it (and they're not).

A Deal Built On Concessions

I have read the 28 point plan on the Newsweek website.

Now, can anybody tell me what concessions is Russia making in this peace proposal?

And who is this self appointed "President of the World", the idiot clown POTUS, to demand a sovereign country to give up its territory, and self rule.

As an independent and sovereign country, it it up to Ukraine to apply for any membership it wants, and keep its defense forces as she sees fit.

Seems to me that being nice and giving up the nukes was the biggest mistake they made. Proven by the annexation of Crimea by Russia after giving assurances to protect the country at the 1994 Budapest accord.

Russia is an aggressor, and has been for hundreds of years, trying to expand its territory, among others to Finland, Poland, Baltic States, and East Prussia, which it annexed after WW2 and renamed Kaliningrad. As it did with Kuril Islands, Japan.

The Russian standard MO is to annex a country, then forcibly relocate plenty of Russian citizens and claim that they need to protect them from imaginary Nazi forces. That is what happened after WW2 in Ukraine.

None as they are the victors in the war.

If it is implemented, it will also be a good deal for the soldiers and civilians that would otherwise be injured or killed.

Have I missed something? Is the war over? Russia won? Wow, breaking news.

There are a few places in the proposal where Russia "concedes" one thing or another.

Yes.................... this is estimated to be the 57th war Trump has ended in the last 6 weeks.

This "peace plan" is nothing but a "soft surrender" on the part of the Ukraine. But to keep on fighting would result only in a "hard surrender" later on.

The heroic fight by the Ukrainians will come to an end. Let's face it: The Ukraine never had the same military capabilities that the Russians had/have. Not as far as military hardware and especially not as far as military personnel is concerned. (The Achilles heel of the Ukrainian forces).

One can dream, speculate, hope but in the end "reality" is the master that rules the world.

Ukraine, Europe Reject Key Parts of Peace Plan

(Bloomberg) -- Kyiv’s biggest European allies lined up with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to reject key elements of a US-Russian plan to end the war in Ukraine that would mean sweeping concessions to Vladimir Putin.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, France’s Emmanuel Macron and Keir Starmer of the UK agreed on a call with Zelenskiy on Friday that Ukraine’s armed forces must remain capable of defending its sovereignty and that the current line of contact should be the starting point for any peace talks, according to a statement from the German government.

Of course he doesn't, but what else can he say.😄

Something needs to happen because as it is Russia continues gaining ground and lots of it and Ukraine is really on the back foot on the battlefield. The "Russia is only gaining metres per day and it will take 1000 years to get to Kiev" posters on here please comment as to how you think things are going on the battlefield. I stress, as I always have to, this is about the reality on the ground and not being a Putin fanboy. I remember several months back posting that Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad would be gone by October-November this year getting of course the thumbs down and laughing emojis. Pokrovsk is now basically fully controlled by Russian forces and Myrnohrad is operationally encircled with no hope of surival. Things are not looking good for Ukraine on the battlefield. If things continue the way it's going sometime next year (6-12 months) Zaporizhzhia will be in trouble.

It's a total surrender, and the most shameful thing to have come out of the WH since the beginning of the Trump 2.0 s**t show.

One of the things suggested is that the US will help negotiate some kind of a security "deal" between NATO and Russia. That indicates that Trump doesn't consider the US to be a part of NATO.

Wow........

I wonder if the Epstein debacle, in addition to this complete surrender to Putin, will facilitate the growth of some spines in the GOP, but I doubt it.

25....now.

QUESTION: Who has won wars in the past? The ones that had more military hardware and military personnel or the ones that had less military hardware and personnel?

It's strictly about mathematics. Like it or not. And: As the old Romans said "Wae Victis".
