People are brainwashed into long term relationships, i guess with kids it's the ideal, the single life in Thailand suits many but the world would fall apart if most people lived a single life and didn't bother with relationships.

Personally i didn't find someone i wanted to marry, years later i realised i dodged a bullet

And I'll bet despite his 'advanced knowledge' he's out here living with a Thai woman having totally failed with women in his home country. Either divorced or never managed to get one.

There are 3 types of hetero men in the west ......

1. INCEL

2. Married INCEL

3. Divorced INCEL

Most of your life will be spent as one of these three, with brief interludes outside for the lucky (unlucky).

Once more I will say this, so listen carefully

A lang term relationship is like an garden where you plant seeds, and then imagine how this garden going to look like in 10 years, 20 years, and what you have to do to keep it fresh and good looking.

It takes time, resources and understanding, and both parts have to contribute as well outside circumstances, be it the weather, or family or the place you live.

Not really hard to understand is it? I you plant seeds that do not belong, you know whats going to happen

There is good times, there is very good times, and there can be challenges around the corner, so it is just to be alert, and know what to do to deal with it.

Negativity doesnt help much,

I can repeat it for you guys, and ask where did it go wrong for you guys?

Why serious about a simple post, and goes off the rails completely?

"...that's why we're all here, right?"

Wrong.  Many are here, or came here originally, to work, nothing to do with unsuccessful relationships or desire for sex.

Better to work here than in the jungles of Peru though, eh?

Lets all be real: for whatever reason you came to Thailand, you either stayed or kept coming back because of the hot hardbodied pussy constantly available for a relative pittance.

Then that makes me blissfully brainwashed.

For some and at this point in my life I can walk at any moment though don’t see that happening. Personally don’t intend to be alone at the point in life where I can’t do things on my own, fortunately and confidently the wife is all in.

Did you go to Cambodia because it was even cheaper.......?  🤫

What i don't understand is the guys who believe the lady from Thailand in a LDR!!!

True love, marriage and regular sex for men in long term heterosexual relationships as espoused by Hollywood, novels and the public in general.

It doesn't exist in the western world, but nobody questions the fantasy .................

Sure you can get the odd bang, but not much after the first 2-3 years in a relationship.

You'd probably get more sex from random one night encounters with random women, than from a LTR with just the one.

But you dare not cohabit or have kids with a woman because she'll invariably take your pension, home assets and future income.

But nobody appears to publicly point this out, and anyone daring to try gets silenced fairly quickly.

Almost nobody on this forum has managed to achieve this in the west (that's why we're all here, right?)

And I'll get many thumbs down for pointing this out, even though the thumbs down will come from people that never achieved this 'holy grail'.

You've all either 1) failed to get a women, or 2) succeeded and been divorced and asset stripped.

But why deny and hide this truth?

I think that is why couples get into swinging scene in the west..wife swap, group, 3-somes and all that.....keeps things fresh....brings in a bit of jealousy and competition.

But generally, marriages going the distance there is less likely than over in Thailand, I'd guess.

Guys taking themselves seriously on the Internet. It would be sad if it weren't so funny.

Take away the money and what have you got? If you still have a woman then you've done it right. Otherwise you've just bought yourself the best you can afford.

But you're not in your home country.

It's different here, because they can only take what you freely give.

In the west the government will give them all, it's cheaper than providing benefits for them.

In nature women can't survive without the protection and providence from men.

Hence the former pretense of life long love.

But government has replaced us in the west, and will take from us to provide for them.

No spouse, or anyone that really knows me, is that stupid, to try to take what's 'mine'.  I'm a really nice, mutually agreeing, loving, peaceful, calm, harmless person ... until I'm not :coffee1:

All 5 LTR ending mutually agreed upon.  Only with one that I had assets that might have been considered joint.  And she is still one of my best friends, along with one of only a few friends I've talked to in the last 25 years.  I can count those on 1 hand, and 3 are 'friends' on FB, the rest being family, having all of ...

On that, possibly why I stayed single after #2,  the 15 yrs before coming to TH.

Although, they have the same laws here 50 / 50, even more so stacked against the foreigner, as you sign away your rights to land / house at land office, with that ... 'ain't my money' statement.

So yes, everything is 'gifted from the get go', and hard to keep what's not in your name.   Took a bit of paperwork & POA, to sell the 1st house without the wife at land office.

Advice to others, buy that condo ... or ... RENT :coffee1:

Britmantoo , you need to move on , how long ago was it that your ex wife ,now,

took what you thought only belonged to you ,

My ex wife I gave her half of what I had ,she took the kids ,OK , never paid any

alimony,  she helped me build up my businesses , then had to look after my kids,

I was OK to pay her half ,we are all on good terms , no animosity at all ,in the 40

years since then I have built up my assets ,and she seems to have blown most of

what I gave her, BUT she knows she cannot come back for more., better to leave

on good terms , than fighting over everything ,

Wonder why?

No need to reply, I stated why in my OP.

Pretty sure she’s Thai….and I guess they have a farm somewhere in the hinterlands.   Strange how she didn’t seem to accompany him on his recent trip home.

Couldn’t get a visa?   Why not?

I was able to get my jobless girlfriend a 10 year visa to the US….even under that oh so terrible Trump administration 🙄

Honestly you could do better than making your rather sad history a rule that applies to everyone else..

AFAIC

- Marriage 1: regular sex 6 to 10 times a month for the first 12 years, she got then Hashimoto's Thyroditis and things got slower rapidly.

- Marriage 2: 17 years down the road, me being 73 now, we are still doing the deed once or twice a week. Use to be once or twice a day, though..

And IMO we get the amount and quality of sex we deserve...

Enjoy your fantasy and your virtue signaling!

There are a lot of articles about virtue signalers.   It seems that the primary motive is to hide something.  That’s why I have always loved your posts over the last decade.  Zero virtue signaling and unashamedly unapologetic for telling the truth.

Strange how the majority of virtue signalers are leftists.   Why might that be?  Got any idea?

People don’t like the truth.

These claims are not correct at all, and the percentages of people that do end up like OP describes you have in any country, including here. Not to even mention that cheating rates are at like 50% here. The real sad thing is that most people can't think or reason outside their own little bubble or experiences.

In fact I actually know at least 10 people here that are married for 5-10 years or longer and they are not getting sex from their Thai wives ever since they had kids. Perhaps OP also forgets that even he can get laid at home, it doesn't mean she wants it, she just provides as part of the arrangement.

So not really different at all from anywhere in the world.

Let's be honest here. If I ever decided to settle on a local girl, she would be a professional. Doctor, Dentist etc, Someone with whom you could converse fluently on a wide range of subjects.

If you have taken on someone of much lower status and level of education than yourself, there's a reason for that and it's nothing to do with Western women.

How does a narcissist knows he is a narcissist ?

Again reflecting on your own mirror. A man who spends so much time to try to renew himself on countless accounts, and fails every time he comes out of the shadows, should tell you something. But you continue and doing the same over and over again and again. That’s crazy

The truth is a very powerful tool. Precisely because so many people do everything to avoid it. It's their kryptonite. Amusing to witness. Crazy indeed.

What a BS comment, love or a good relationship has zero to do with that. In fact most worst girls out there in TH are the educated ones, that's why a huge percentage of them remains single even in their late 30s and 40s.
