I'm going through a pretty serious crisis with my girlfriend. My question is this: if I leave (also because she's seeing a Thai guy) and she, as she always does, threatens to report me (though I don't know for what, since I never raised a hand or hurt her in any way, when she asked for money, I usually gave it to her), what risks might I run, especially regarding my bank account? My fear is that any false accusation could lead to my account being frozen. Thank you.

I don't think there is much risk your bank account will be frozen. Any accusations against you made to the police will need to be supported by evidence.

Take this advice from a guy who's been married to a Thai woman for the past 25 years. I say cut your losses and move on. My relationship has been rocky at times, I was ready to move on 15 years ago but when I cooled down I realized I would lose to much. For a single guy move on and cut all contacts even if it means changing your phone number and where you stay in Thailand.

On what grounds could she have your bank account frozen? I suppose the police given some order could request the bank freeze your account but that would probably need to go through a judge since now they're interfering with a private business. I don't see how mere accusations that hit someone would rise to that level.

Most of them now, you got some experience to base your statement on ? Yes I have been living in more tourist infected areas, and lived with a few of those girls, and know when their number one and two and three calling, but normal girls ?

Would say practically none, esp to bank account. Why would a domestic have any bearing on that? The police probably hear this kind of bs from spurned trollops all the time.
