Trump Blasts Zelensky For Dragging Feet On US Peace Deal

Trump Blasts Zelensky For Dragging Feet On US Peace Deal

image.jpeg

President Donald Trump has lit a fire under Kyiv after accusing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of stalling on a U.S.-brokered peace proposal — even as Moscow signals it’s comfortable with the plan. Speaking to reporters before hosting the Kennedy Center Honors, Trump said he was “disappointed” to learn Zelensky hadn’t yet read the American proposal designed to stop the war and lock in long-term security guarantees.

Trump claimed Ukrainian negotiators “love the plan,” but the president himself has yet to sign off. Russia, he added pointedly, is “fine with it,” raising fresh questions about whether Kyiv is pushing back, hesitating, or simply buying time.

The row comes as Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner spent two days in Florida locked in intensive talks with top Ukrainian officials, including national security chief Rustem Umerov. Those meetings — which Zelensky publicly praised as “long and substantive” — covered security guarantees, deterrence measures, reconstruction plans, and mechanisms to ensure Russia cannot break its promises yet again.

Zelensky insisted Ukraine is “working in good faith” with the Americans and thanked Trump for the speed and intensity of negotiations. But he also stressed that Kyiv needs time for its teams to analyse “workable” proposals — a remark that suggests the U.S. plan is far from a done deal.

The confusion now circles around one key question: is Trump referring to the initial 28-point proposal already floated, or a newer, harder-edged draft now taking shape? With Russia launching fresh waves of missile and drone strikes, and European leaders preparing for high-stakes talks in London, pressure is mounting on Zelensky as Washington moves to force momentum.

For now, the U.S. president has made one thing brutally clear — he wants a signature, and he wants it fast.

Key Takeaways (Hard-Tabloid Tone)

  • Trump publicly shames Zelensky for slow-walking a peace deal Washington says could end the war.

  • Kyiv’s negotiators praise the plan, but Zelensky hasn’t signed — giving Moscow room to exploit the delay.

  • Peace talks intensify as Russia escalates strikes, leaving Zelensky squeezed between U.S. pressure and battlefield reality.

It is easy to give away a land and a people that are not yours, to the enemy of your country.

Doing the right thing, however, is not quite the same thing, nor is it as easy.

In time the corruption of the illegal Ukraine that took over after the 2014 Coup will come to light, and the USA will do one of two things.  Investigate and seek to charge those involved - Ignore the issues raised and deflect any criticism. If the Republicans are in power - it will be like the current investigations of the Dems corruption ion Minnesota and other States. If the Dems are in power - it will be deny and deflect.

Yep.

Waging war on a neighboring country is one way to spill blood and it’s definitely not doing ‘the right thing’.

You're not getting your Nobel Peace prize Trump, though you have been nominated for Appeaser of the Year award, craven bowing down before bloodthirsty tyrants.

That 'war' you solved between Thailand and Cambodia ain't going too well is it?

What a disgrace as a human being, never mind president.

Zelensky should be blasting Trump for behaving like Putin's pet dog. That should be a rallying cry and he should be unafraid to use it, what does he have to lose? Trump couldn't possibly be less of an ally to Ukraine then he already has made himself into. Tariff tax Don is not a friend of the Ukrainian people, and with friends like him who needs enemies?

His loyalty to Putin demonstrates Don's lack of patriotism, and borders on the behavior of a traitor. Trump has no courage, nor morality.

Unfortunately, if Zelensky did, ol' Don would have a hissy-fit and do something silly, we are used to seeing that with his tariffs, kiss his gold boots and the world is your oyster.....😒

The lead story conveniently omits Trumps other words when he added the offhand caveat that "Russia would rather have the whole country, when you think of it," which echoed his past comments on territorial concessions. Zelensky has to treat this unreliable ally diplomatically and play along whilst engaging with the grown ups in Europe.

that's not what the ones (Ukrainians) interviewed (BBC World News) said... what they said it was that there are still many differences that needed to be worked out, some they also realized the Trump is on it only for the money and Nobel price credit and nothing will be signed without the Europeans

The little fella needs more money. The war stops then so does the gravy train. Olena's looking at Birkin fittings for their villa in Tuscany, an Olympic size pool for their Red Sea property and her mother's got an eye on a range of Louis Vuitton accessories. And then there's the two Lamborghini Revuelto's for the kids.

US taxpayers need to understand that half a billion doesn't go as far as it used to. The little fella needs more.

Sadly, he would probably do it if Vlad asked.

Those white rocks flying out of the little fellas nostril the other day didn't buy themselves😅

@SunnyinBangrak As I predicted: Putin rejects the plan, Trump does nothing against Russia and now blames Zelenski! 🤣
