A physical conflict erupted between Thai and foreign women on Bangla Road in Phuket on December 7, following what appears to have been a misunderstanding. The details emerged after the Phuket Times Facebook page shared a video screenshot depicting the altercation, sparking significant online discussion. The immediate impact saw Thai women stepping in to assist a fellow Thai being attacked.

The incident began when foreign women reportedly attacked a Thai woman who was walking alone. Other Thai women nearby intervened after witnessing the attack. The situation escalated, capturing the attention of netizens who quickly expressed mixed reactions online. Some praised the Thai women for their solidarity, while others criticized both sides for not de-escalating the situation.

Online users have called for the release of the full video to clarify the sequence of events and understand the altercation's motive. Some speculate the disagreement was linked to competition among sex workers, though this has not been confirmed. One woman involved, who claimed to be the victim, refuted these claims, stating she was not a sex worker and was simply heading home after a party.

According to the woman, she was on a video call with her boyfriend when the foreign women accused her of filming them. Despite her attempts to explain, the situation deteriorated into a physical confrontation. The foreign women reportedly knocked her phone from her hand, causing it to crack, which escalated the conflict further.

Some netizens suspect that the foreign women might have been offering illegal services and perceived the Thai woman's phone as a threat, inadvertently leading to the confrontation. No official intervention occurred during the altercation, and at present, neither side faces legal repercussions.

Looking ahead, the online community continues to press for more transparency, urging the release of more details and the full video footage to provide clarity. There is also a hope for some form of resolution or intervention from local authorities to address such incidents, reported The Thaiger.

Key Takeaways

  • A misunderstanding led to a physical altercation between Thai and foreign women on Bangla Road.
  • Speculation surrounds the motive, with calls for more information and the full video.
  • No legal action has been taken, highlighting a lack of official intervention.

Thanks for schooling us on Africa!

  • Did you know that Africa has tens of millions of  people who are not  "black"? There are an estimated 4-5 million whites still living in Kenya, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Angola,Mozambique and  South Africa.

  • I would agree with this.

I sure hope this happens a lot to the idiots wearing the new “smart“ glasses that film everything.

Russians, Africans? For Africans, they don't look black enough in the photos.

There are 100 million+  Arabs who live in North Africa. The 30 million Berbers look more Sicilian or  Spanish than they do Black African.

What's wrong with these places, Phuket and Pattaya, turning into rot and animal dens since a few years.

The careful avoidance of mentioning the nationality of the "foreign" women is interesting.

Only one nation has such influence over silencing media.
