Search for previously visited hotel in Pattaya

Does anyone know of a hotel that, according to the characteristic I remember best, was that the "Hard Rock Hotel" was only a couple of minutes' walk away. The hotel I stayed at was a little more secluded but from every direction I saw the Hard Rock Hotel and there was not least a great view of the sea from the veranda. The hotel already at that time (10-12 years ago) had the need of some renovation but was at the same time built in a style that was supposed to be a bit old fashion and traditional Thai style with large ballrooms and areas indoors and a very large hotel garden with a large swimming pool and by walking through the hotel garden you came straight down to the road (I don't know if that road is the one called beach road) and the promenade along the sea?

Thank you in advance for any information.

Quite possibly.  Matches the OP's description perfectly.

It's on the 2nd road, near the top part close to the shopping malls. Go in the direction of the bus station and you will see it on the right.

There is a caveat however ..... it's been bout 15 years since I was there last. 🙂

Thanks for the replies. I initially thought the hotel could be "The Heritage Pattya but I don't find any "Hard Rock Hotel" nearby so when I after reading AN today, I found the Imperial on Agoda and mean to recognize the rooms and balcony. The picture of garden didn't show the whole hotel garden, so not so easy to recognize or get an overview. So that is closed

I liked the place as I like large areas that don't feel cramped when moving around and don't have to stand with your nose in the neck of the next person. And the nice evenings on the veranda overlooking the sea and even though it was close to the Hard Rock Hotel and the music there it didn't bother me.

Thanks a lot folks. Now is the thing to find something similar....

Hard to imagine that location would have a garden walk through to beach road and be close to the HRH.  Anyhow, case closed it seems.

After seeing more pictures on google maps I'm sure it is or was as said by some Imperial Hotel. Just sad its closed. If someone know, what is it on that area nowadays?

Thanks again
