A cannabis shop owner in Pattaya was arrestedlate on 11 December 2025 after allegedly wielding a knife, smashing beer bottles and threatening neighbouring businesses during what police described as a severe alcohol and cannabis fuelled outburst. Officers from Pattaya City Police Station responded to reports of a disturbance near Soi 9 on Pattaya Second Road shortly after 22:00, prompting concern among nearby residents and shopkeepers. The 40-year-old suspect, whose name police did not release, was found in an extremely intoxicated state outside his shop.

Police discovered broken beer bottles and cannabis-smoking equipment scattered across the pavement. The man, slurring heavily and barely coherent, was seated on a plastic chair and appeared unable to control himself. A search of his clothing and bag revealed no further illegal items, but officers took him into custody to allow him to sober up.

The suspect tearfully told police he had “lost control” due to stress, claiming his wife had left him months earlier. He alleged, without evidence, that staff at the adjacent tattoo parlour had “helped her run away”, which he said triggered his anger. He admitted smashing bottles and hitting himself on the head with one but insisted he had not harmed anyone.

Ms Sunisa Kenawong, 33, owner of the tattoo parlour next door, provided a contrasting account. She said the man had been drinking outside his shop since late afternoon before storming into her premises and accusing her boyfriend of hiding or abducting his wife, a claim she rejected as baseless. After he was told to leave, she said he returned minutes later wielding a knife, frightening staff and customers.

Fearing for safety, Ms Sunisa ran to the nearest police box to seek immediate assistance. She stated that although she had known the man casually for months and had not seen violent behaviour from him previously, she now intends to press charges to the fullest extent of the law. Police confirmed he has been initially charged with causing a public disturbance and remains in custody.

TMN reported that investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and taking further witness statements to confirm whether he carried a knife in public or issued threats. If verified, additional charges are expected, including carrying a blade in public without reasonable cause and criminal intimidation. Officers said the case would be handled strictly according to the law to ensure fairness and public safety.

Sounds like he had a meth chaser.

A stoner would only wield a knife to consume snacks.

Thc ks but one factor in determining quality and reaction to the flower smoked.

No doubt whatsoever it was cannabis withdrawal that caused this maniac to go berserkoid.
