This is obviously a question of moral judgement.

There have been many leaders throughout history that many or most people have judged as being evil.

Yes even in the most extreme cases, there are always admirers remaining.

But this isn't about historical world leaders.

This is about Trump.

Please record your judgement in the poll, and comment about it if you so choose.

You can find countless sources arguing that Trump is indeed evil.

Here is one to what your whistle. As stated this is a MORAL judgement either way, so in keeping with that theme, this is from a Christian religious source.

The Inexpressible Evil of Trump 2.0 – ProgressiveChristianity

progressivechristianity.org/resource/the-inexpressible-evil-of-trump-2-0/

Quote

Let’s take a look at who we put back in the White House a few months ago:

A twice impeached, four-times indicted, convicted (on 34 counts) criminal.

A convicted rapist (according to the judge in the case) and sexual predator.

A man who was having sex with a porn star when his wife was nursing his new-born child at home.

A man who openly ridicules and mocks disabled people.

A man who calls veterans who served in our armed forces “suckers” and “losers.”

A man who is an incurable, pathological liar and a malignant narcissist.

A man who, unwilling to accept his loss to President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election, inspired a treasonous insurrection at our nation’s capital seeking to overthrow the 2020 election results.

A former Trump attorney Ty Cobb has explicitly called him evil.

Feel welcome to post any rebuttal sources asserting that Trump is NOT evil if that's what you think.

Again, welcome to the Is Trump Evil Experience. Kindly enjoy your time here.

Please stick to the subject of THIS topic.

Do you think Trump's former lawyer Ty Cobb who has said explicitly that Trump is evil and he obviously knows him very well personally is a LEFTIST?!?

This moral judgment has nothing to do with right vs. left.

Many of Trump's harshest critics are traditional conservative REPUBLICANS.

Evil, nasty, likely the least charitable American ever, relative to his wealth, and a horrific example for the world.

This sums him up perfectly:

Someone asked "Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?" Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England, wrote this magnificent response:

"A few things spring to mind.

Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace - all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief. Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing - not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility - for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is - his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults - he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness. There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface.

Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege. And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully.

That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead.

There are unspoken rules to this stuff - the Queensberry rules of basic decency - and he breaks them all. He punches downwards - which a gentleman should, would, could never do - and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless - and he kicks them when they are down. So the fact that a significant minority - perhaps a third - of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think 'Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that:* Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are.* You don't need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man. This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of bull<deleted>. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid.

He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W. look smart and articulate. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws - he would make a Trump. And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: 'My God… what… have… I… created?

I'd be the first to state, I'm not a fan of the USA govt, or most of the presidents in my lifetime.  Most disgusting corrupt liars.

Consider President Trump to be the best of the lot.

JFK, and Carter, the only other 2 that I have any respect for, and in that order.  JFK's character, a bit repulsive, but an intelligent, good president.   Carter, a good person, but a terrible president.

The rest were corrupt self serving Aholes, and an embarrassment to the office.

I could probably come up with more than a hundred points of evidence to back up my judgement that Trump is indeed an evil man.

It seems to me that there is a separation though between his policy actions as president and his personal behavior as a man now and throughout his life.

Of course no man is 100 percent evil or 100 percent good.

There are some good things in policy actions and in personal life that evil leaders do.

This comes down again to moral judgement.

When I thought of doing this topic, the first thing that came to mind was a policy action that I do consider to be clearly very evil. That was the cutting of USAID. Trump did that. Donald J. Trump. Totally evil.

Trump is without a doubt the most corrupt president in American history. It isn't even close.

Millions upon millions consider President Trump to be one of the greatest presidents ever. Of course the left wing zealots hate the fact that President Trump keeps on winning and winning.

Corrupt to me, means he is benefiting from the presidency.  If anything, the complete opposite.  He has lost probably 10s of, in not 100s of millions of dollars, since entering into 'politics'.

Not evil per se, but rather self-centered, or even narcissist, not to mention revengeful, uncough, and not shy to seek conflict, even at other people's expense.

I liked that he spontaneously paid for a woman's shopping during his election campaign. (Even though, a genuine emotional connection to others has been questioned, incl. by his own niece.)

I also like that he genuinely seems to care for 'America to be great'. However, I consider his political actions, rhetoric, treatment of political opponents and critical media, etc., etc , largely irresponsible, unbecoming, and, at times, self-serving. A moral example, no doubt, he is not...

Not the bias left MSM, fake news, no, I do not follow such silliness.  He doesn't win his lawsuit filings because they aren't fake news, lie & misrepresent the facts.  They edit what he says, take it out of context, and even change his skin tone when reporting.   They really are a joke.

2 big wins, ABC & CBS, and 3 suits pending, in which the one against BBC's going to be really big pay out.

Regardless of ones opinion of Trump the BBC fiasco is brutal. An hour apart. Really ?

While he may not be benefiting  monetarily, his ego, at this point, is more important to him.

Not anywhere near as evil as killing millions of people with illegal drugs.  Everyone understands that.

I reckon you're talking about there being a certain level of corruption and some questionable projects within USAID. There is no human endeavor that doesn't have some flaws and controversies. None of that even remotely justified the level of trashing of USAID done by Trump leading to hundreds of thousands of deaths.

Also we are not talking about everyone who may be evil the world here.

The topic is very clear. Do you judge Trump, specifically Trump, to be evil, or not?

I do consider him evil for many many reasons. I guess that with your baiting question and cynical deflection that you're in the maga loyalist camp -- no matter how bad his character and actions.

Yes it does. Like saying the morals about gender reaffirming surgery for minors has nothing to do with right vs. left. The radical 'progressive' woke left are all for it and I think it's a fair call to say those on the right aren't.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. You, however, didn't answer the question. Do you think stealing money from USAID is evil? It's a simple Yes/No question requiring a one word answer. As for a certain level of corruption it was huge and questionable projects many.

I think stealing of any kind is wrong. I also think almost every adult alive has done some kind of stealing in their time, and I certainly don't think all people are evil. You're just troll baiting here. The question is about the totality of the life of one man -- Trump -- not any specific character trait or action. The entire package.  It's clear to me Trump himself has self awareness of his evil nature. It may be out of his control.
