Time to address the elephant in the room

What the heck are you getting on about?

Just because a stray thought pops into your head, in no way does that mean it reflects reality in any way, shape or form.

You seem to think anti-Trump or anti-fascist is anti-West. That's the prism---or maybe prison---through which you see the world.

In all of these threads on Trump, what comes through my prism is that anti-Trumpers are steeped in democracy, American ideals, and have set a standard or goal of behavior for the US that is infinitely morally superior to Trump and his cult.

Part of what the US was supposed to be involves freedom to believe whatever one wants regarding spirituality, including having no belief in any deities. The US has done better than most nations assimilating all of the major belief systems regarding existence, whether Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, as well as the lack of belief which has been given the name atheism. Look at the tech industry...one sees individual people, but look more closely and you see atheists, Christians, Jews, Hindus and Moslems and Buddhists.

The only people in the US arguing for any one faith or belief to reign supreme are Evangelical Christians.

So you can calm down, fella. There's no elephant in the room.

In 19th century America the same kind of charges were leveled against the Irish. And, in fact, it was true that the rate of crimes, particularly violent crimes in the cities was disproportionately due to Irish immigrants:

The famine-Irish in the United States committed A LOT of crime
More than half of all the people arrested in New York in the 1850s were Irish-born.

https://www.thejournal.ie/irish-united-states-commit-crime-fighting-dangerous-2004406-Mar2015/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

"Finally, we find that the foreign born, especially the Irish, consistently have higher incarceration rates for violent crimes, but from 1850 to 1860 the natives largely closed the gap with the foreign born for property offenses."

https://www.nber.org/system/files/working_papers/w16266/w16266.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.com

And, the Irish were also hated because of the fact that they were overwhelmingly Catholic. Just like what people claim to "know" about Islam, back then it was widely believed that being Catholics, the Irish would owe no allegiance to the United States.  In fact, there was an aptly named political movement called the No-Nothings, which was based on opposition to Irish immigration.

Brings to mind the Rock Ridge negotiations in Blazing Saddles:

The town rep makes counter offer to the workers' group seeking to live in Rock Ridge:

(substitute the most common racial slur for blacks and Chinese to get the original version)

"We'll take the blacks and Chinese, but no Irish."

Having lived and worked in a strict islamic country for over 30 years all i can say is a lot of people in that faith are ticking timebombs.

Ive seen easy going types switch to extreme after a few weeks of religious teaching.

Ive watched westerners convert becoming strict islamists to the extent their security intelligence agency interviewed them multiple times on returning to their home country

I cant see a sensible reason why western countries want to import these people and their values.

No, I believe religious extremists are a danger to everyone else.

And Islam is especially dangerous to Jews, gays and women.

If you believe in their rights, you can't also support Islam.

Growing a beard and getting up a bit earlier isn't really a big problem for me, I can fit in.

But I'd like gays the right to be gay, Jews the right not to be murdered, and women the right to go to school and not be the property of men.

I agree with your statement.
I just don’t believe that all followers of Islam are extremists.
Frankly, I’m seeing more danger (in America) coming from MAGA followers, and the from the current administration, and those dangers affect everyone, not just women and gay people.

No. Of course not. Something must be done to keep out the extremist super freaks. Their religion may work for them in Saudi, Kuwait, Yemen, Sudan or Somalia. That same ultra conservative fanatislcism, is not wanted, needed, nor desirable in Western nations. Only moderates need apply should be the policy. And there should be a standard of willingness to assimilate, and the burden should be on the family to prove the burden is met.

I believe immigration policy should be reformed to the point where it should be staged, and all Muslim families should show a willingness to assimilate. I also believe that families with Muslim daughters who are teenagers can start by proving that they have participated in a two piece bikini contest, in front of at least 1,000 men, and for teenage boys they must show a burden of proof that they're not affiliated with any of the local madrasas or extremist clerics.

Are we serious about keeping our nation's safe from extremists, or not?

This will probably be interpreted as a racist statement but for a long time I've been saying that immigration criteria for Saudis should be unique and singular and far strictly then normal immigration for other people from other parts of the world

It must never be forgotten that but Saudi's practice the most extreme form of islam, a hateful and horrific interpretation that is completely intolerant of other religions and is the exact opposite of what most of us would regard as any kind of positive faith.

Huge and very strict restrictions should be put on their ability to immigrate, essentially they are not wanted and they are not needed, and for the most part they are not of any benefit to a society that let them in, as it is very unlikely they will ever integrate.

Why am I anti Wahhabi? Why do I think all Saudis should be barred worldwide from immigrating to any nation? Why do I consider the Saudis so dangerous to mankind?

But it is an ideology that divides the world into the realm of Islam and the realm of the infidel, or the realm of war. So it trains the readers that they live behind enemy lines – they must be passing through, they cannot take abode here. You only have two reasons for being in the land of the infidel. One is to convert people to Islam. The second is to acquire either money or skill which you can bring back with you to help you and others engage in jihad, and in this context, it is quite clear that they mean that in a military sense, because they go on to talk about tanks and bullets, and things of this kind. One of the things you certainly cannot do is become an American citizen, because no Muslim can be ruled an infidel.

That is the particular ideology which is being taught. You must not have any good contacts, warm relations with anybody – not only with unbelievers, but with any Muslim who is not of the Wahhabi type; they are also often denounced as apostates. That is the major theme of concern in that report.

Does that really make a difference ? Dead is dead.

It was the consequences of the natives not enforcing their borders. Immigrants swarmed in from the UK and elsewhere and wiped out the natives. Sadly we forget history and so make the same mistakes over and over - see the British being displaced by youknowwhats

Asean Now.  It started attracting a more visible vocal segment of the mentally ill and racist demographic around 2020.

Covid decimated the old guard of ThaiVisa Forum/Asean Now. Some died, others aged out, and many others lost the financial means to continue in Thailand.

Absolutely beautiful religion

I must say I do like it , especially at Xmas time ,the Muslim ladies  are far better than  those drunken Aussie foul mouth girls getting around swearing wearing low class slutty  skirts

I would prefer if you and your multiple personalities were more transparent. Surely there is a better way to drive website traffic than faux controversy or nonsensical forum topics. I suggest more content on dining options and how to guides for transport and an update to visa topics. Advertisers are not big on sites that are driven by nonsensical conspiracy claims and fantasy stories about ladyboys etc.

Of course hes the hero...hes a Muslim. Perfect for the propaganda machine. The dead Jewish couple is ignored.

That is not intended to denigrate what the dude did

Often when a tourist gets scammed here, shortly afterwards , literally as if by magic , a saintly taxi driver is produced on the news who has performed some sort of righteous act like returning a handbag that a tourist left in his cab.

Its widely broadcast for two reasons , one is to promote a narrative that he represents all taxi drivers' inherent honesty   and the other reason for its newsworthiness is disbelief  by the media and general population that he could be so stupid as to  have not taken full advantage of the tourist.

I would imagine, considering the sheer number of taxis, that people inadvertently leaving their valuables in taxis is almost a daily occurence, yet reports of valuables being returned even to Thai passengers  are relatively rare

Every Attack in the UK came from  Islamist's some  born in the UK.  Such as the Abedi brothers who killed mostly kids in the Manchester bombing, also the killer of Lee Rigby who attempted to behead him on the streets of London, bombing tube trains and busses in London guess who by jvs ?
