Even if that were true, which it isn't, I'd far rather be under Washington's thumb than lorded over by unelected EU technocrats.

You are under Washington’s thumb.

Trump dictating UK tax and trade policies.

A once proud nation now a de facto US vassal.

Your sovereignty pished away for nothing.

I wish Trump would do the same to Starmer. The UK would be a better place without the twit.

He can’t be critical of Trump, the UK is a de facto vassal state. One step out of line and Trump will demand more revisions to the UK tax and trade policy Washington already dictated.

  • Remarkable, suggesting that a foreign power invade and topple our democratically elected government; and yet I'll bet you would be amongst the first to howl traitor and treason at anyone who doesnt ag

Absolute nonsense. Your hatred of Britain is clouding your judgement again.

Starmer is on his knees to Trump all the time. Between the the two of them they will destroy the planet and everything on it.

The UK is on its knees to the U.S.

As was predicted by people who warned against the UK committing self harm.

It hasn't "dictated" UK trade policy any more than it has "dictated" EU trade policy. Your Brit hating goggles might stop you seeing/admitting that though.

Maybe take a look at the concessions the EU has made since the tariff saga started.

"Can Starmer navigate this storm without fracturing Labour or straining international alliances? The world watches as this high-stakes political drama unfolds."............clap2

I was just thinking the same. After hearing more Brits are banged up for political/ non PC tweets than Russians, they are probably hoping Trump captures their sir kier and chucks him on a rendition flight to Gitmo.

Free Britain Next!!

Totally agree.......

I think Trump just did more damage with the potential disruption of oil prices that is going to hurt Russia where it matters.🙂. This may force Putin to consider a peace agreement now.

This is true. The Trump haters can’t see that Putin lost a source of revenue.

Does the RAF have the capability to bomb Gitimo?

almost pee'd my pants ... lets start with a small obsaical "The Pond" Atlantic Ocean

their air farce .. would be detected about 30 seconds after they took off from Europe

Did you miss the extended. bombing sortie over Syria? The question was not detection, but one of capability. The RN has 2 aircraft carriers with F35 bombing capability. The RAF can still do fantastic things. Remember the Falklands bombing mission using obsolete Vulcans? Anyway, the original question was a bit of sarcastic fun and not serious.

“Brit hating goggles”

What because I see the abusive relationship the UK has with the U.S. for what it is?

While you take a look at the US unilaterally changing the deal the UK thought it had with its master.

Not with F35s it doesn’t.

The Pentagon would simply hit the ‘kill switch’.

What "kill switch"?

You have been watching too many Sci-Fi movies!

He's been watching "A House of Dynamite" on Netflix. Recommended it to everyone...

Like with Adolescence, he thought it was a documentary. 😆

Perhaps you have not been watching enough..they certainly have backdoors and kill switches in all the equipment they supply to foreign military 'allies"

While the current President and Administration might be mistaken for a TV drama, the ‘kill switch’ comes from statements made by Trump.

He’s yet to learn there is no reverse gear on his mouth.

Which proves it is of the same status as all the other thousands of lies he has made and therefore has no credence or value.

But this particular lie hits confidence on US defense equipment.

Another home goal by Trump.

His supporters, foreign and domestic, throw their own switch to follow whichever direction Trump swings and turns.

Liberals and Greens warn this sets a dangerous precedent, potentially unleashing global lawlessness.

That precedent was set and the starter pistol sounded with The 'war on terror's' kidnapping and torture in 2001. Then we were gifted the 'shock and awe' of 'Iraqi freeedom' in 2003. Europe is still dealing with the aftermath of the destabilization of an entire global region.

The only difference between Iraq and Ukraine is that the US could project that type of power intercontinentally and successfully. Putin couldn't even do it on his own doorstep. The excuses they both used are virtually identical.

Venezuela of course is a pushover of exactly the same type.

Will Trump face off now against Putin et al as he did the evil Maduro? Don't make me guffaw.

Sadly, it would at least be far better off in all aspects if it at least went down on its knees to the EU. It still wouldn't change much for a generation but it would at least indicate improving taste and a sense of justifiable contrition.

It suggests, it does not prove.

Now layout $billions buying into US military hardware on the hope that Trump was lying.
