Of course i was talking about gaza where usa subsidised isreal in its destruction so pony up to rebuild

Yes, I know you did, but only a very few countries supported this slaughter. USA and Israel were pretty much alone, at least by the sensible countries, and should stand for all the rebuild.

I always get a kick out of people who confuse saying ridiculous nonsense and speaking his mind and telling the truth. No BS? How about never without BS? I don't think the man would know the truth if it bit him on his very fat ankles.

He is certainly unconventional in the way he governs and a lot of people seem to like that, but he creates nothing but chaos.

I think Thailand is aware that it cost 1 bn US$ to participate... But more important is that it will be time to get an impeachment procedure for Trump, as he is acting more and more crazy by the day and a danger for the world peace....Although he want to show he good intentions for Gaza

Seems like participation in this “peace board” is being touted around to anyone who is prepared to pay 1 billion dollars for entry.

Presumably the reason why a country might want to pay the joining fee is because they might take back in more money via awards of building contracts, supply contracts and the like. And where does the 1 billion dollars go I wonder?

Sounds like a scam. But I might be wrong, could be it’s just blatant corruption.

I suspect that nobody wants to invest in the latest iteration of the Trump Riviera plan, so now he is trying to get the funds by billion dollar membership fees. Gaza is not a golf course!

So what is the profit-sharing envisioned this time?

BBC Verify recently reported that the IDF has moved the "yellow line" by up to 300 meters into the zone where Gazans remain in several areas. In Jabaliya in northern Gaza, after moving the line, they then demolished all the buildings in the newly-grabbed territory, to make it look like the already demolished areas under their control.

Israel placed and later moved control markers in three areas, with some placed deeper inside Gaza than maps suggested.

An earlier report by BBC program (Security Brief) showed the actual demolition of around 40 residential buildings in one go (at 6:00 in the program). This helps Trump to get rid of buildings that could be repaired, to entirely erase the Gaza that people knew.

The only countries that will sign up and pay the $1 billion will be China and Russia.

Maybe the UAE would join, if there is any chance at profit.

Several European countries supplied weapons or weapons components for attacking Gaza: UK, Germany, especially.

It's going into an account in Qatar controlled entirely by Donny Demento. No lie!

How has America become one of the most succesfull countries in the world ?

Is it just luck of resources?

They vote this guy in, then half the politicians are endorsing his nonsense. It's madness.

He cannot impose any Tarrifs on France. He can only impose Tarrifs on the European Union.

Incorrect. Neither France nor the European Union will pay any tariff taxes.

Trump can only impose tariff taxes on American consumers that purchase EU products, or in this case goods labeled as products of France.

Let's not be pedantic here. If he imposes tarffs on wines from the whole european union, then they will sell less in America, thus harming manufacturing in those countries making wine.

It makes them more expensive to the American consumer, which will mean they will switch to alternatives.

It’s not being pedantic, it’s fundamental to how tariffs work.

You are right however, the EU will sell less to America, but what you didn’t say is that the EU will thentry to sell more to other countries. They may or may not be successful with that.

And yes, you are also right that EU wines will be more expensive for the American consumer and those who are budget conscious will switch to cheaper alternatives, those who are not budget conscious will keep buying EU wines. US inflation rises.

All this to say that there will be a transition away from the USA as a “good” market to sell in and countries will look elsewhere. Maybe not such big markets, but more stable, reliable, predictable.

Wines to USA might come from S Africa, oh whoops, Trump is in a fight with them over imaginary massacres of white people. Or maybe from Chile, oh whoops, Trump isn’t on great terms with S American countries because he unilaterally kidnapped the President of one of them and installed the vice President as his puppet. Or maybe from Australia, surely they love Trump there…..hmm, maybe not. Best USA stick to USA wines, thereby trading with itself and leaving the rest of the world alone.

The point I am making in a flippant way is that if you pick fights with basically the rest of the world using the logic that you are the strongest most powerful nation so you will do whatever the f you like, then gradually the world will just drift away and trade among themselves and develop capabilities so that they don’t have to rely on you and ever so gradually, you become irrelevant, because the world doesn’t need you any more.

Aimed at overseeing the postwar reconstruction, governance, and economic recovery of the Gaza Strip following the Gaza War and performing a similar duty following any other Worldwide confrontation, ( Ukraine comes to mind ). Goodbye United Nations. Trump proposed the U.S. assuming "ownership" of Gaza post-ceasefire, relocating its roughly 2 million Palestinian residents (potentially permanently, with no right of return), and redeveloping it into the "Riviera of the Middle East"—a high-end international resort area with jobs, housing, and urban regeneration. All under the complete control of Donald Trump

Will Israel sign up? About time for them to pay for the destruction of Gaza, like any honourable wartime reparations. Will cost Israel far more than bullets and bombs.
